After earlier beating the #7 seed, Brewer just lit up the 2-seed, who was 3rd in Ohio's DII tournament last year. On to the semi's.

Actually, it seems like the Track dashboard had these names reversed and Brewer lost in the quarters.

Compared to Detroit Catholic Central's 11 advancing (5 semifinalists and 6 in consolation), Lowell, MI's 10 advancing (3 semifinalists and 7 in consolation), Brecksville's 9 advancing (4 semifinalists and 5 in consolation), and Avon's 10 advancing (1 semifinalist and 9 in consolation). Day 1 take on Brecksville:  wrestling is wrestling...some weights are incredibly deep...overall I would imagine that top IN teams could fare well here year in and year out.   Just seeing teams from good OH conferences is worth the investment.  The weigh out was interesting but it makes sense.

PS:  hotbeds of wrestling do not = hotbeds of officiating...I would gladly take the IN Team State officials over what I've seen at Brecksville.

When you get the info could you let us know what time the finals start and what mats the placements will happen on.  I’m hoping to make it back home to watch.

Starting the finals early cause of heavy snow here and long drives for most teams

5:00 is parade of Champions

5:30 start for Finals

Only 3 mats will be in use
