Tom Cameron Duals

Recommended Posts

Looks like Merrillville might not have a lock on the Tom Cameron trophy this year.  When was the last time they didn't win this?  Anyway,  Im anticipating the finals match will be  a strong Harrison team this year against the Pirates.   Should be a close one.

I'm also assuming Penn will just be sending their Varsity B team as they have done in the past.

Other teams?  Plymouth, South Bend Clay, Hammond Morton, Highland,  Kankakee valley?

Always a good day of wrestling.

Of these teams listed, I don't see Merr. losing to any of these schools.  As much as I would love to see Harrison go up and beat Merrillville, I don't think the raiders' strength of schedule can compete with Merrillville's.  These teams all better hope Penn sends the B team.   Even then However, I've seen their JV go in and kick everyone's butt, probably not good enough to beat Merrillville though.

I just said it would be a close match .  Ita always a good dual with Merrillville having home mat advantage and typically has the Raiders vs Pirates in finals.  Anyway, Harrison werestles Penns 2nd team every year with out much of a problem.  Dont think theyll struggle this year.    Anyway,  i put it on paper and came up with 7 wins both sides assuming everybody is healthy.  Both teams have  had some injuries.   Would be nice to see Krintz on the mat.  I think it will come down to bonus points.  But see 6 matches that are toss ups. Also, Harrison seriously upgraded their schedule.  Cant get tougher than yeam state.  Also, Henkel got then in a legit tournament at his old high school in Ohio.    Im just saying Harrison will be a little more seasoned this year.

If you click on a teams page you can go to their trackwrestling account and most teams have their whole season updated

We track results for 32 high school wrestling teams in Northern Indiana.  At your suggestion, I checked all 32 of their team pages on trackwrestling.  Only 8 of the 32 teams have complete results on their team page.

Besides when there is a 16 team event, we shouldn't have to lookup all 16 team pages to get the results.  Some place at the event the team scores have to be posted somewhere.  All we're asking is for someone to take a picture and post it at IndianaMat or TrackWrestling.

I realize that wrestling isn't basketball, and doesn't have the benefit of having John Harrell's websites, but there's no excuse for not utilizing the tools already available to the wrestling community.

In a perfect world, as soon as pairing are assigned, the event host would post them online.  Then as the matches progress, parents or coaches could tweet the match results as they happen.  Online each event within the results pages should be a separate thread, not have results intermingled throughout several pages of dual results.

I can't even image what people go through who try to track individual matches, in addition to team scores!
