Mat Shark Posted January 24, 2017 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) The real wrestling season starts this weekend with everyone's post season record of 0-0. May you wrestle to the highest level you are capable of and free of any injury or illness. I have seen great wrestlers choke and not get out of sectionals. Some have missed weight and done. I also have seen .500 wrestlers catch fire and make it down to state. It is your time to shine. It would be neat to have a big bracket board that starts with all the sectionals and end up with the final sixteen at State Finals. Why should March Madness be the only one to have it? Maybe some high tech fellow fan could put it together and post here. It would really show how huge of an accomplishment getting to state in our one class system. buzz lightyear Posted January 24, 2017 Share Posted January 24, 2017 Two, maybe three years ago a wrestler showed up at Sectionals with a great record and he was either the 1 or 2 seed. He also showed up with a case of ring worm that was being treated but he did NOT have the appropriate form filled out by his general practitioner. He did not pass skin check. It was heartbreaking to watch him have to tell his parents he was out. Please wrestlers , parents and coaches- if your wrestler has even the slightest of skin conditions get the proper treatment and the proper paper work with you.
