Look on the bright side, Clark is a two time ncaa runner up. Micic's other loss is to tomasello and shows you how good micic is for s freshman! Bright future for him

Micic has a third loss, to Tomasellos back up.

I felt Micic should have been awarded the reversal.  But officials have to make judgement calls in borderline situations, and in this one he felt Clark grasping the leg prevented a clear change of control.  But if this is the official's interpretation of the action, then Clark should not have been allowed to hold that leg for 30 seconds to prevent the loss of control, and should have been called for stalling.  You know, the newer 5 second rule on limiting the amount of time top man can drop to and hold a leg.  Either way Micic got a raw deal.

I do like some of the new rules put in place such as the 5 second leg stall but it almost seems like they've muddied the water with what a simple takedown is.......almost the way the NFL has implemented so many rules that no one knows what a catch is anymore when Micic and Clarke were in the north/south position and Clarke was on his back the reversal should've been called. Reaching through and grabbing an ankle should not have been enough to prevent "control."
