maligned
There is not a single weight class full this year. 132 has 1 bye and the rest has 2 or more. Some weight classes only have 2-3 first round matches. Shouldn't be a problem to get through 2ND round which is normally quarters and first round of comes combined. Why aren't people bringing full teams? Even good programs like Franklin, New Pal and the big 3 Kentucky teams are forfeiting 2-3 weights.

Also... looking at some of the teams that participated at team state.... there may be a bit of a hangover (at their holiday tourneys). Many of those teams have kids out for various reasons. Tends to happen when that many good wrestlers get after it. Edited December 28, 2016 by Mattyb eastdad18

A slightly banged up kid would be more likely to be used at team state than in a mid-season individual event when a younger guy can get experience and the team result isn't emphasized as much. At Mooresville too there are a lot of JVs and forfeits...looks like Brownsburg will end up 3rd with 4 guys out, including Mulkey and Mills. Castle might not end up top 5 with their reduced lineup. Mattyb
Avon trying to hang in with 6 starters out and others trying to grind it out at less than 100 percent. Don't be so certain about something when you know nothing about this kid. Just teched Hinderliter. Maybe he's a little better than you think Hook The Willman/K. Egli match was great. Willman pulled out the come from behind win 8-7.
