Warren Central RTC Wednesdays @ 6!

Recommended Posts

Every Wednesday our room will be open to all MS and HS wrestlers.  As the "off-season" progresses we will have multiple guest clinicians showcasing their technique.  This is a great opportunity to grind it out with 2016 IHSAA State Champions and test yourself against some of the best wrestlers in the state.  Tomorrow's clinician will be Warren's own Jim Tonte.  Aside from being repeatedly the best dressed coach at the State Finals; Coach Tonte has produced 5 state championship teams, records in total points scored at the State Finals, won eleven consecutive Marion County titles, produced more Fargo AAs than any other active coach, and currently has multiple wrestlers competing at the collegiate level.  Come learn from the best and grind it out with wrestlers from across the state!

Come out to Warren Central tonight @ 6 if you are interested in getting ready for this Freestyle and Greco season!

I will be running tonight's clinic and will be covering several fundamental Freestyle and Greco techniques, habits, skills and issues Indiana athletes need to address for success against the top 5% in the country.

As the RTC Director for the ISWA, I have coached Team Indiana at the Schoolboy, Cadet and Junior National Duals, numerous other national tournaments including Cadet World Team Trials, Fargo, Flo, Iowa, etc, and experience first hand where Indiana is at versus where we need to be as a state in relation to the best in the country.  Currently with Indiana Pride Wrestling Academy, I am internationally certified in Freestyle by FILA (UWW), was the 2014 USAW National Developmental Coach of the Year, 2011 ISWA Cadet & Junior Coach of the Year, and have a thirst for Indiana's rise to the top in this great sport.

Open to current USAW Schoolboy, Cadets and Juniors. Come ready to get better tonight, Warren Central RTC @ 6!

Tonight at 6.  Enter through door 14.  Work hard and get better!  Tonight's guest clinician will be coach Alex Joseph.  Coach Joseph was a former DI wrestler for the University of Northern Colorado.  As a coach, Coach Joseph has spent six years studying, learning, and training with several of the greatest wrestlers and coaches in the world at the United States Olympic Training Center.  Coach Joseph recently moved here from Oklahoma where he was head assistant at the powerhouse program Stillwater High School.  While there he personally trained multiple state and national champions.  Most notably, he had the unbelievably rare opportunity to spend time learning coaching and wrestling strategy and technique from John Smith at the Cowboy Wrestling Club.

We are proud to bring Coach Joseph in.  Be there and get ready for freestyle state.  This week and next week are going to be real treats (next week we will have a local east side hero/former world team member).
