Coach Hull
Just touched down in PA, ready for some wrestling tomorrow! Seen a few Indiana boys out here already. Does anyone have a list of who we have out here? Good draws? Bad draws? Hopefuls? I will try and update some results but for those computer gurus, help us out. Should be a good weekend! Fabio Jr.
I'll be here and shooting stuff out to the IndianaMat Twitter. Had some PA guy last night kind of roll his eyes at Indiana. Ready to prove something to that guy. Lot of studs here.
Y2CJ41
Brackets are here http://arena.flowrestling.org/event/84-flonationals Bracket comments Konrath the top seed at 106(note 5lbs allowance) Hudkins with a potential meeting with Daton Fix, rematch from the Super 32 that was really close 8-6 Red the 2 seed At 132 Cash #2 seed, Brayton Lee #8, also has Kyle Todrank there Rypel the #1 seed at 195 Also looks like quite a few guys are "down" a weight from the high school season, which is always interesting. maligned
Timberman moves into the round of 16 with 3-2 and 3-1 victories. Red with a bye and a quick fall to also move into the round of 16. Koontz, Rypel, Hobbs, with byes to the round of 32, are still to come.
Fabio Jr.
Rypel has bye to the round of 16. One win and he is done. Overall it's a great venue not a bad seat in the house and the wrestling has been out standing.
maligned
Koontz with a fall while Hobbs loses in the round of 32. Koontz has the 7 seed next. Rypel has bye to the round of 16. One win and he is done. Overall it's a great venue not a bad seat in the house and the wrestling has been out standing. How did Red get the 13-second fall? maligned
Red into the quarters with another first period fall. Tomorrow it gets more interesting. He'll first have the 7-seed Trampe, who was Pennsylvania's big school runner-up at 126. If he wins, he'll potentially get the Illinois 2A champ at 132--Duncan from powerhouse Montini Catholic. To top it off, he could wrestle Pletcher of Pennsylvania in the final. Pletcher was ranked #1 in the nation at 132 much of the season before being upset by #4 in the nation Headlee in the PA big-school title match. Should be a fun day. maligned
Jared Timberman's a beast, man. He loses a 6-5 nail-biter to New York's undefeated state champ, who came into the match ranked #20 in the nation and the #5 seed for the tournament. It goes to show, once more, how ridiculous our semi-state situation of no wrestle-backs is. He loses to Brandon James at regional, then a 5-2 loss to Cash at semi-state means he can't compete at state, despite being able to bang with national caliber guys. maligned
Indiana guys are wrestling very, very well. Gabe Koontz picks up a giant win in the round of 16 over the 8-seed Stewart of Pennsylvania, who was 3rd place in arguably the toughest state tournament in the country--PA's big-school division. maligned
Rypel picks up a dominating 12-2 win. As with Red, his life gets a little more interesting tomorrow. He's ranked #6 according to Flo and he's got #'s 10, 12, 18, and 19 on the horizon in his bracket.

maligned
Rypel advanced to the finals too. He wins 8-6 in OT over the #15-ranked kid from Utah. Koontz drops a 9-5 decision and will wrestle for 7th against the kid from PA he upset in the quarters. Finals matches: 111: Konrath (1-seed) vs. Oliver of Missouri (2-seed, big school 113-lb state champ from Missouri powerhouse Holt) 131: Red (2-seed, FLO/TOM #1 @ 126) vs. Pletcher of PA (1-seed, FLO #4/TOM #1 @ 132) 200: Rypel (1-seed, FLO #6/TOM #14) vs. Sutton of NJ (2-seed, FLO #10/TOM #18) bellrs
Y2CJ41
I believe Pletcher beat Red here last year, but the way Red is wrestling I'd consider him a slight favorite.
maligned
Rypel falls 9-1 in the final. Cash won in the conso semi's, so he'll be wrestling for 3rd a little later (wrestling started at 145, so he's way at the end). Konrath's final is a couple matches away. maligned
FloArena is so bunk compared to Track. I think Red just pinned the guy from PA that was #1 in the nation most of the year at 132. He was losing going into the 3rd and started on top...FloArena says there was a fall, but not who recorded it. And the results won't come up for a few minutes....anyway, I think Chad Red just won FloNationals with a dramatic pin.
