With the season half over, who in your mind is standing out to capture the state title. Here's a few of mine

113- Konrath if he goes here

126-Red

132-Lee

145-got to go with James. Had a decisive win over Cash

152-Forte

195-Rypel

Oops. Should be 138 for James

I'm not going to make any predictions yet besides that I hope they put Konrath and Pepple on opposite sides of the bracket come state time. And there are a lot of kids in this weight class that could upset these two, but I hated to see Nick Lee and Stevan Micic wrestle in the semi last year.

No love for Brandon James? He is too good defensively. I'll take Harvey at 170. Love the Davison pick at 182. You can probably copy and paste his name for the next two years. 220 Woods.

Davidson is a very solid wrestler and could definitely win this year, however I wouldn't say you could copy and paste him in there for the next two years. There are a multitude of quality underclassmen at the higher weights.

It is not that I don't think that James is the favorite, but I think if he is going to be upset Lee will do it. I remember two other brothers not that long ago that were from down here called the welchs. When you have a brother as a wrestling partner that is as good as nick you never know how ready he will be for state.

@backtothemat,

I saw the cash vs James score. I just didn't wanna go all no 1's and no 2 is a the defending champ. So that is what I was thinking. I can totally see James winning. But I can see tommy have a whole new strategy and/or make adjustments cause that what great athletes do. I just hope those two on opposite side of the bracket!!
