SWINfan
126 also sets up an Indiana state champ vs Kentucky state champ. Oxford vs red It's Scheffer vs. Red, but you are correct. I doubt this will be much of a match, no disrespect to Scheffer. Looked back at a little history. Scheffer lost last year in the MD Classic to DJ Smith 7-3. He lost to Brock Hudkins 5-0 in this years IMHPO. Also lost to Chad Red in the MD Classic in 2012 (as an 8th grader) by fall at 106. He's a very good wrestler as a sophomore, but Chad is in another league.

1prouddad
Would have been cool to see Lee Vs. Red. That'd be the match of the season in my opinion.I would also love to see this match up. In my opinion, I don't think that Red wants to take that risk at any event. I know that he's an accomplished wrestler and is very good, but I think that his ego won't allow this to happen. I believe that he not only want to be potentially the next 4x state champ, but I think he also wants that accolade of having an unblemished record. I don't think that there is anyone at 126 to come close to him this year. He's a big 126 with a lot of quickness and just fundamentally sound. Jayruss
Exactly what I said before, doubt he would want to risk it. Not saying that he couldn't win, just think he doesn't want to take the chance . I would give my left leg to see that match For those who were there, who impressed the most ? SWINfan
I'm not sure how much practice time they may have had together on Indiana Gold for the Scholastic Duals, but maybe they've wrestled enough neither feels the need to step into a different weight class just to put on a show. Maybe I'm nuts.... but it's possible, no?
