Y2CJ41
The cool thing is Red, Rypel, and Hughes all return for next year! Could have three going for a belt. Also you can add in the Lee's(Brayton, Joe, and Nick), guys like Konrath, Reitz, Crary, and so on who can all do well at a tournament like this. More on this later....just got home and need some sleep.

maligned
The FLO commentators couldn't stop going on about "J-Rod" as the match was beginning, not commenting much on Red. It slowly became "Red is riding really well"...and then by the end of the match, "I did NOT know Chad Red could ride like this. He is a HAMMER." Seriously...pins a top 10 guy, wins 8-0 against a guy who just beat possibly the weight class favorite, and finishes it off with another whitewash against a top 10 guy, 7-0. Nice way to roll through your final 3 matches. With his low single, super-intelligent/patient scrambling ability, and dominating top game against elite guys, it's hard to imagine any top school not wanting to recruit him. He's made for college-style wrestling. If you can win the neutral scrambles and ride while constantly threatening powerful turns, you will be a beast in college. His ability to get ahold of an ankle from neutral or bottom and methodically work up is outstanding. And the way he can keep a hooked ankle on top while working different tilt/armbar/power half series from amazing angles is sensational. No one comes close to getting away and he's never close to getting called for stalling.
Y2CJ41
I truly think his win over nemesis Lamonte at Fargo was a huge confidence boost for him. He had lost to him what seemed like 15 times over the past few years and since then he has been REDhot(pun intended).
