Recommended Posts

Well it’s Memorial Weekend, the unofficial start of summer, so here are the unofficial summer rankings.

Thanks to everyone who provided input again this year!  I will send Triple B the file for reference when he builds the 2014/15 season rankings.

Brock Hudkins will be the state champion if he stays healthy. That kid is solid. He might end up in Joe Lees weight making Lee prove himself. If that happens it will be the battle of the day at the Ford Center and most likely Bankers from there.

Hard to see Brandon Butz of Greensburg not being top 8. 2 time semi state qualifier going into his junior year. I understand he lost to Walsh of brown county, but Brandon was winning by quite a few points before getting pinned. Just trying to get him the attention he deserves.

I agree Brandon deserves the attention, I saw him at regionals this year beating the Jeffersonville and Floyd Central wrestlers (both solid kids).  120 is a deep weight class, 12 semi-state qualifiers in the weight to include 3 returning state qualifiers who could potentially stay at last seasons weight, plus a "go round" 113 moving up to 120 and not much movement of guys to 126.

Evansville has a lot of returning SSQ and SQ for next season, it should be a great season in Southern Indiana.

Isaac Gomes was highly state ranked before injury not on list. Also, Shane Wilkerson from Franklin Community. I heard he recently had knee surgery. I was told he wrestled  all season with mulitple

knee injuries. If not true apologize.

Pleass send me any additional information you have on Isaac Gomes (head to head, tournaments, post season results) so I can make sure and get him identified and at least on the data file for Triple B.

I have Shane at #9 @132 (he has been wrestling 145), with a nice win over Balentine.  Does he have any head to heads with the 1-8?  I couldn't find any commons.
