Paul won both of his matches on Saturday, to get into the semifinals. That placed him at no less then 6th and qualified him or ncaa. He did not wrestle any matches on Sunday. Resting a nagging injury. Being healthy for the next step is whats important. He will be ready to go

How does a 6th place finish potentially affect his seeding in the NCAA's?  Does the fact that he injury defaulted give him any reprieve and hurt him less than if he had lost outright?  I was wondering these kinds of things while watching the Big Ten meet this weekend.  For example, how will seeding work for Adam Coon of Michigan who came in seeded #1 and finished 9th in the BTT?

Actually, the B10 had 9 auto bids at 285, so Coon qualified automatically despite being 9th.  But you're right, we'll see about his seed.  I would surmise he'll still be a top 5 seed since the big 10 has 7 of the top 8 ranked guys in the country and he has so many quality wins.
