B Campbell
With the weather flexing it's muscles this year, I'm hoping it doesn't interfere with the state tournament schedule. As those of us who wrestled in the 1985 State finals know, that was a fiasco. No placement matches, a one day tournament, a different venue. Just a heads up to the tournament directors and coaches to have a contingency plan for a full tournament so the kids won't be shorted the glory they worked so hard for! theflash
My uncle made it to state that year and always tells that story of the state being postponed and moved and how tough that was on all the wrestlers.
rhayes
It was very different feel there versus Market Square and no placement matches. It ended on a good note though! The night before (Friday night we did not wrestle) a lot of the schools came to stay in Muncie. We went to see a movie that night and the theater was packed, everyone in letter jackets, it was opening night of Vision Quest! It was very cool seeing one of the best wrestling movies of all time with a couple hundred wrestlers, that were also on their quest!

Hope all is well with you, Andre, and the family. Daniel is still in Okinawa Japan and occasionally wrestles in open freestyle tournaments over there. He's won them all so far. He'll be back in the states (Cherry Point, NC) starting this summer.
