jchas
Was that the Armuth match this weeked where he tore his ACL? We where wondering why he wasnt wrestling the last match at the Avon Duals. I guess that explains it. That is what I heard. I was wondering how he got pinned.
Wrestling Scholar
Hopefully Lile is alright. Very disapointing and tough for a kid to go through that.
Wrestling Scholar
That is what I heard. I was wondering how he got pinned. They were having a good match and score was tied, and I would describe as Armuth got a body lock or bear hug, picked him and took him straight to his back. It happened real fast and was an explosive move.

cjl123
You are correct jchas. Not taking anything away from Armuth but this is what the video showed happened Jordan chose down 2nd period he attempted a standup Armuth has his own left leg wrapped around Jordan's left leg and when Jordan went to turn into Armuth the knee popped Armuth then returned Jordan to the mat and they scrambled out of bounds at this point Jordan is limping, now the next standup attempted resulted in a scrambled out of bounds. The last standup attempted Jordan tried to hit somewhat of a jap wizard putting Armuth partially on his back for a split second but Jordan couldnt rotate over and Armuth was able to turn back onto Jordan and about 10 seconds or so Conner secured the pin. I am not posting this to get into any sort of argument but there was no bear hug to the back lol. Armuth is a very talented wrestler and a win like this could be what he needed to give him that certain boost.

thelouduncle
Correct. Miller beat weaver 10-2 in finals. Chastain looked awesome in championship match. Carithers was a beast taking home a championship I dont remember the final score. I dont think Eldred even scored a point on Seth.
CoachM
Carothers 6-0 over eldred. Brown at 120 didn't wrestle. Avon dominate most of the day. Chastain is a stud. Great meet with a lot of high quality wrestling

coatrack
"I think that depends on how he does this weekend. If he goes 126 he will have Belden, Moore and Chastain in Regionals. At 120 he would be the clear favorite to win. There is a big difference coming out of the Regions as the 1 and possibly come out anywhere from 1-4." I may be wrong but if Mantel weighed in at 127 the weight management 1.5% a week would not allow him to get down to 122 before sectionals. Which would keep him at 126 (128) for sectionals.
