Merrillville Semi State Rankings Preseason

Recommended Posts

Listen for you to put slates in front of lukaszka is a joke!  Why dont you just take all the region kids put them 1-10 and then fill in the blanks.  Slates is a 106# wrestling 113.  Slates is a great wrestler no doubt but come on!  Your way off!

Daniel Meyer was a 215 wrestling 285 and he placed 4th and 3rd at state.

And Slates got 3rd at folkstyle state, his only loss being to Egli in the ultimate tie breaker. Sounds pretty good to me.

Few facts to consider on this topic:  1)Slates took 3rd at ISWA Folkstyle losing very tight match (106), your guy got 7th at 113 but the top 2 guys wrestled 106 during high school season.  2) Slates beat Crary (3rd ranked 113) at ISWA freestyle state this year. 3) They were both AA at Disney in the same division.  Not saying Slates wins but it is no joke to think he would be favored!

So the rankings look ok......

Two guys to consider or watch (and yes I'm a homer):Tommy Varner 132-138 and S Teague 138-145 both from Penn, both seniors.  BTW, Varner was ranked last year before he lost his spot.

Just take cole off your list and we will see you at semistate!

as of right now everyone is 0-0 and they are preseason rankings. Im sure they will change at least 10 more times before anyone wrestles a match. I'm not going to take Cole off the rankings because he is the best 113 in Logansport regional.

Slates and cole were on the same disney team I know who wins.

I usually don't take practice matches in to account. We can solve this preseason rankings problem.. Who has cole beat that's ranked a head of him in a match? Which ranked kid has he beat in general?

Listen you definitely know your wrestling so who am I to argue?  This means nothing till semistate.  I love what your doing keep up the good work.  I changes our schedule a little this year so it looks like we will get to wrestle Plymouth over thanksgiving break.

Hahaha i don't sweat it man. A tough schedule will help you guys for sure we are still a little while away from matches so its only guesses. I'm sure the best kids will be making noise all season.

I will bet you a steak dinner allmon does not make it out this year.  I hope the best for him but no way does he finish as high as you have him.

Allmon was only beat 7-2 by a kid who pinned lukaszaka , what makes you count him out?

I was going to mention Varner and Teague as well, maybe a couple others (homer also). But they are only rankings , it will all get sorted out .
