Before moving here I belong to Cavemen WC under the tutelage of Al Smith.

Gotta love Coach Smith, first thing he ever told me was "Wiesjahn, you wernt as terrible as i thought you'd be".

When were you a caveman? Im pretty deep in to the history of the program.

Also Did you guys know Milwaukee is the only city in the United States to have elected 3 Socialist mayors. -Points to anyone who gets the reference

Then you must not be too educated on the wrestling in the area. You even forgot a former state qualifier from the SAC in your picks. Not so educated :)

Not really, I know where they stand and if they are truly 2nd-4th in the semi-state it won't be a fun Friday night at the Bank. I have seen all three wrestle and they have some growing to do to be contenders.

Or you can just say knowing the area and doing semi-state rankings for the past 7ish years that I know more about the area than most including you.

It is the mentality of knowing what is going on in the state and area and who the best kids are. I get daily emails with results of kids all over the state during the season....I know what is going on.

Yet you forget to take into account actual matches that have occurred....interesting.That is so inspirational.

He will still have to go through kids like Isaac Eicher who pinned him last year....must have forgot about that loss.

It's mighty convenient that you won't tell me who can top Weimer, Franklin and Neeley besides Glogouski....It wont be fun at BLF because you will be proven wrong...Franklin pedigree..Neeley pedigree.. Weimer pedigree....They are all 14/15 I'm sure they will grow by November and they also will get some extrinsic motivation thanks to u.  Just because you get pinned one year doesn't mean the next year the result won't change. I started wrestling as a 15 year old sophomore i was 5-11 and the next season i went 29-2 and pinned or teched eveyone who pinned me the year before who haddened graduated. On my familiarity with the area...All I know is I've been busy this off season scouting and training so I've seen nearly everyone from this area at some point:  I'm pretty familiar with those in the immediate area.  106 Is clear to me. And several people have inboxed me and concurred. See I live in a big world not a fishbowl.  On my education: I'll assert that it's clear to all whom are reading my post: they may not agree but know I'm Highly educated. You better ask around. You better speak to the Earlys,Esters,Elkins,Vaughns,Johnsons,Raypoles, Boldens,Starks,Burtons,Franklins,Lovejoys,.........etc.  You started a website and people email you ..what a shocker. I put in the footwork"I know what's going on".

I went to South Bend LaSalle and I belong to the club '86-'88 ...training partner Mike Lehman just to give you a reference. Our coach at LaSalle was Brent Lee, a Mishawaka graduate parlayed for us the ability to train at Mishawaka. It was awesome training all spring and summer, no one charged us and we got taught top flight technique. Tournaments at Beiger. Keeley,Nelson, all the old greats in that room. Even coach Wilk from Penn would come over every once in a while. Good memories.

my insight is very local compared to you and y2.......i just know that gayfield, franko, and vaughn will be making some noise at the 120/126 maybe 132 weights, and casey adams for sure should be in there.......we shall see soon!

You might want to get out of Fort Wayne, it isn't 1992 any more.  The best wrestling in this semi-state is outside the city limits. Just because a kid has a "pedigree" doesn't automatically qualify them for state.  There are quite a few potential 106lbers that you are missing that will make their mark this year.  If you get past the city limits you will see those kids.  I know who is on my radar and where to look for well researched rankings and not just my favorite kids.

I agree 100% they both know quite a bit about the area wrestling and this post has been very good I hope it continues also it would be better if Y2 made his predictions without watching the whole  season i mean i can do a good set of picks if i watch all year long duh

Ger pasted the City Limits..I'm in Iowa City now buddy..We've wrestled in Ohio,Mich.Illinois,Iowa...you better get on Trackwrestling Buddinski. Anyone you are referring to has already been spanked by the 3 aforementioned. Pedigree does mean your family might be "all in". Weimer's are all in. Franklin's are all in. Neeley's are all in. And they are 9th and tenth graders...before it's all said and done you will personally be ranking them yourself. I just moved back to Fort Wayne from Iowa City a little over a year ago and I can say my View on wrestling surpasses the city of FT.Wayne, Garrett, Butler, Kendalvlle,Elkhart,Leo,New Haven,Peru,..etc. I've seen and done it myself on the Highest Levels. I know wrestling and i have an eye for talent, unmatched discernment and insight.  You aren't the first to boff at my predictions, you won't be the last who wishes I wasn't in Fort Wayne. Those in the "know" understand that my enthusiasm only will elevate the level of wrestling in the area. My only motivation. Not putting down 16 year olds.(Omar)

Im guessing y2 would love to see a resurgence of SAC wrestling but the fact is the SAC schools are a shadow of what they were in the 80s and 90s. Until they prove it on the mat smart money will not bet on SAC kids.

The reason for the decline in the conference is greed plain and simple. Everyone in Fort Wayne charges kids to wrestle...Inner City kids can't afford to pay 100-200 a month just to practice offseason. AD's only care about football and basketball. That's why me and a few others volunteer our time to take kids to tournaments, camps, and Elite practices on our dime. No one else really cares so the County Schools dominate. My have things changed.  My senior year('89) we had at least 10 state qualifiers from the SAC.  I'm confident if kids are willing to work hard the Conference will be back.

It seems you have gone a little too far if you are scouting the semi-state. Weimer and Franklin are on the radar and might be in the preseason rankings due to past results.  They WILL NOT be 2 and 3 to start the season.

You might want to check out Adams County and Delaware County for some scouting before you head 7 hours west.

My proof is in the pudding, my semi-state rankings are top notch and won't include my favorite wrestlers that I coached during the offseason as the top kids until they prove it on the mat in a real LIVE match.  Putting kids that didn't make it out of regional over kids that were in the ticket round to state or putting a kid that didn't even wrestle at sectional over state qualifiers is as absurd as it gets.

Lack of middle school wrestling and high coaching turnover is the reason for the decline.

Greed might be a part of it but those old coaches like DiPremio, Tone, LeBeau, Isaacs, Schwartzkopf, Welborn, Ragle were all teachers and damn good coaches. It hasnt been the same since they got out. No middle school wrestling doesnt help either

A qute fro my inbox about Y2 and no I wont reveal my source: and I quote "Since I have no problem with seeing this spat continue I'll drop a "anonymous" hint if its not referenced:

Y2 is quick to claim: "mine will be more thorough and accurate as they have been for the past 7ish years.  In 2013 I missed 7 state qualifiers, 2012 I missed 5 and in 2011."

Yet if you look at the top of last years rankings you will see a e-mail for someone other than him who collects and organize most of the rankings for the site.  As has been the case those other years too. reference to contacting a seperate rankings person with information.  Credit may need to be spread a to a few more people for their accuracy than saying "mine."  You see all my picks are mine and I will refresh them after Indianamat...not in November. I didn't coach Farnklin, Weimer, Smiley,Aldrich,Early,Humphrey,Elkins. To be precise, I arrived in Iowa City in under 6 hours. A vacation for me is going to Iowa City to learn from the best literally buddy. A college teammate of mine , Charles Strunk is the Coach at Norwell. I'm up on Adams County, Jay County and Delaware County.  I'm also looking forward to seeing your picks since I'm so far off.

That email is for the state rankings.  The guy who does the state rankings relies HEAVILY on accurate semistate rankings. The four guys who do semi state rankings have proven track records of providing accurate rankings regardless of their school affiliations.
