Infolady
I just got confirmation that the step-out/ push-out rule will be applied as it was last year at Regional and National events. Indiana will do the same in an effort to prepare our wrestlers for these events. The rule is: "One point is award for the wrestler who's opponent places one entire foot outside of the boundary line" Thank you, Mark Mundy ISWA officials director
Fabio Jr.
So we will not follow the 3 "cautions" and your DQ'd as in the 2013 rules? What is the reasoning behind this?
grecoref
So we will not follow the 3 "cautions" and your DQ'd as in the 2013 rules? What is the reasoning behind this? Yes, we will follow the 3 cautions and you are DQ'd rule. Cautions would include fleeing the mat under attack, fleeing the mat on your back, illegal holds that prevent scoring, improper or false starts from the clinch to name a few... The clarification Infolady is referring to has to do with a step out or push out on the edge of the mat. As in years past the point will be awarded to the wrestler who stays inbounds. There has been discussion internationally to do something otherwise. USA Wrestling has decided to call this situation as it has been called for the last several years.
