Of those 224 wrestlers 171 were in the final Panko Strength and Speed Individual Rankings. Each weight class features an average of 12.2 ranked wrestlers. The best weight class is 132lbs were 15 of the 16 qualifiers were ranked in the top 16 in the final rankings. MattM Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 Once you consider many of those eliminated ranked wrestlers were put out by another ranked wrestler, the final average looks even better. It's also nice to see those "bracket buster" wrestlers get some due for their accomplishments which probably also included taking out one or two ranked wrestlers to get to state. Y2CJ41 Posted February 11, 2013 Author Share Posted February 11, 2013 Add in that 21 of the 53 unranked wrestlers were on the watch list, that is even more impressive. Note that these rankings aren't made to "guess" the top 16 state qualifiers, but put together to show off the top 16(or 20) wrestlers in the state.
