does this take into account how many will return next year that are left?

Yes, underclassmen and seniors contribute to your score much differently.  The fact that you're getting all 10 remaining guys back means you have a much, much higher potential to score big points than almost anyone else.  If you advance a few to semi-state and then win a match or two there, you will have a very competitive score.

you do better (marginally so) when you are rambling about warren central.

I disagree Hook.  I think his ramblings about Warren Central are off the wall.  This seems like a well thought out, educated response which is very appropriate for the conversation taking place.  Rambling on and on and on about Warren Central being better than PM is just crazy talk.  But, I suspect we won't have to listen much longer as Warren Central will fade away along with Mr. 182. or Caliboy or whateven his name is at the time.

Like securing a takedown – I have 2 points:

1 -The current method of tallying the scores is by far the best way to determine a state champion. It controls for big school vs little school and adds a lot of excitement. For example if you’re a tiny little school and can only get 8 kids out for the team, and you can manage 6 guys placing high, you can compete with Perry Meridian or Mater Dei, or Crown Point or whomever.  This is the old school way. – AS THE NCAA DOES IT.

2 - Also – I will not respect any so called ‘state tournament’ that isn’t represented by every portion of the state. When I was looking through this current year's I couldn’t help but notice that there was not one single Region Team? I don’t profess to know the reasoning, but I know it affects the validity of tournament. Also allowing Mater Dei to move up to the big schools? Then what is the point in having different school sizes ?

would one of these fine schools allow you to ride shotgun with your daughter in english class?  check it out!  the worse thing they can do is to tell you "no".

Merrillville turned down the initial bid. Then crown point turned it down after Merrillville. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind them turning it down.

humor me....how is it even possible that Lebanon is ahead of North Montgomery?  North beats Danville head to head,,,beats Southmont..head to head beat Lebanon head to head...win sectionals, is the top2 A team at regionals...has 6 going to semi state with 2 alternates..even with out the regional win, there is no way this is possible...

If you are not aware the points are mostly based off of the accomplishments of Juniors-Freshman in this years tournament, since they will be the ones returning for next years team competition.  Is North Montgomery more Senior heavy than Lebanon with their remaining wrestlers? The points are also only calculated through Regional, and  several major shifts occur after the next two rounds are over.  Lastly, they did mention a few scores still needed to be rechecked so it is possible one of those teams calculations are still a little off.  I'd wait a few more weeks in order to get a better overall idea of whats happening.

then that brings in the case that Danville who is #1 has 10 Seniors in the lineup...North has 4 and Lebanon 3...Lebanon has 2 underclassmen going to semi state...North has 3....so..we advance more underclassemen and have more alternates...and we beat them at conference by 50pts and head to head ...so still dont add up
