ENoblewrestling
The multiplier looks at the overall depth of the sectional not just the top end guys, that is where you see the difference at. I think that if you went back and looked at the Carroll sectional you would see that there is a pretty large number of good kids that don't move on due to the fact that there are are a large number of talenented kids thus the multiplier that you see. With that being said I do agree that the Jay County sectional is a tough one to get out of too, but using state qualifiers alone as the stat to say one sectional is tougher than another is really no different than if Biberstien is the highest placing kid at state, and using that to say that Southern Wells is the best overall team in the semistate. While the jay county sectional produced three more state qualifiers than Carroll, the multiplier looks at the couple of hundred kids who are entered at the start of the sectional. Is Jay County the 5th best sectional in the Fort Wayne Semi State? And wouldn't the large number of really good kids in the Jay County sectional not allow a large number of "good kids" to move on? Y2CJ41
Weren't there some good kids out of the Jay County sectional that didn't qualify also?
ENoblewrestling
Weren't there some good kids out of the Jay County sectional that didn't qualify also? Very true, I was just pointing out that the multiplier is based off of the overall sectional not just the top end kids. I dont disagree that you could argue which sectional is tougher, but I didnt make the multiplier, it was based off of statical analysis done by Maligined who I feel has done a good job. In the end we want an accurate representation of the best teams at the team state. With this same system Maligned put in the information from last year if this season had the classed duals and it came out as being accurate.
