hcsd309 Posted November 21, 2011 Share Posted November 21, 2011 Edgar "Ed" Switzer of Crawfordsville passed away at the age of 72 11-20-11. Ed wrestled at Crawfordsville High School, coached Southmont High School to an undefeated dual season in 1979 and served as assistant coach at Wabash College for 20 years. Visitation at Burkharts in Crawfordsville Tuesday 4-8 with a celebration of his life Wednesday at 11. Ed also wrestled at Indiana State University on one of the first teams if not the first. Coach Wadkins Posted November 22, 2011 Share Posted November 22, 2011 This is a sad day for Little Giant Wrestling. Ed Switzer ran our early season practices at Wabash College when Coach Max Servies was still coaching on the football staff. He was really one helluva great guy and a friend to Wabash Wrestling. Last time I saw him was at Max's retirement shindig at the 2000 Little State. The best I can say of Ed Switzer is that he was "good people" and was "Some Little Giant".
