Ok, you heard it hear first.  South Bend Washington, who only had 7 wrestlers last year, will beat every South Bend School  (including Clay) and finish no less then thrid in the NIC/ sectionals.    The team  has a total different mindset from last year and has been working hard.  As soon as football is over and the rest of the guys get into the wrestling room people will see what I am talking about.  I seriouly look for them to have 4 to 6 kids make it to state....  Houston Anderson is a beast at 182 and Derek Fowler will be super tough at 132 ( one of the hardest weight classes at this semi state.) Kelly Kolat should be tough again at 152.

Just incase someone read my last post and is offended by it , I want to make it clear that I mean no disrespect to anyone or team out there.  I am just saying that Washington is not going to be a door mat this year and they will shock alot of teams out there.  There are stud wrestlers at several Schools in the South Bend area but when it come to South Bend schools, I think Washington has a Super solid team and will beat Clay, Adams, Riley,  and St. joe.  Making them the Best team in the city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alot of people may not know this but last year before semi-state i did not practice at all. i went to a specialist for my neck and found out i had two bulging desk in my neck. i was put on several different types of medication at the time, including muscle relaxers, but still chose to wrestle. i lost to a really good wrestler and i wish him the best of luck this season. I finally got the swelling to go down and wrestled in Disney and all- americaned. i am playing football now and all is well cant wait to get back on the mat its going to be a great year for indiana wrestling. also sorry any misspelled words.

That's good that you are healthy again good luck this season. The best thing about the 220 rankings is that almost all of the ranked wrestlers will be at the Al Smith

Isn't Mammalenti (sorry spelling) from penn the 132 lb that pinned Manning this weekend at the LC harvest.  And I thought I saw Padilla at 132 earlier.

The only result I have from merrillvile Padilla is at 138. I was told Varner is the 1 spot but a huge win for malamontti
