Crown Point good or great ?

Being from the Region and biased of course, gotta go with CP over PM and EMD.  Although I haven't seen either team, the dogs have looked extremely dominant and have quality wins.  PM is always tough and you can never count out a team with the resume that Mater Dei has.  In regards to Merrillville, it should be another dominant win for the dogs.  Merrillville is a tough team but can't keep up with CP's loaded lineup.  They are good with the ability to become great.

ptd180:      The 171 lb weight class for CP is certainly not a wink link.  He only has 2 losses.  One in

overtime due to a locked hands call against a pretty well built kid from East Central

and the other loss to Willis from Cathederal who finished 2nd in the state last year

at 160 pounds.  You might be thinking of 189, but he is built and can surprise at

                          times.

Looks like it would come down to criteria if CP wins those swing matches.  And by the looks of it, I believe we would get pretty low on the criteria list

The 2010 Mishawaka team and the Dogs of 2011 are hard to compare , especially since the Cavemen were mostly Seniors and C.P. is a relatively young team who will lose only 4 wrestlers to graduation . Remember the older 2009 State champs beat that 2010  State team from Mishawaka .....

If they come home with the state championship, they will be great.

Meanwhile, i think just good is an understatement.  There are many good teams.  Shoot, pretty much any team in the top 10 or maybe even 20 should be categorized as better than good.  For now I think that some other superlative may be in order.  Very good?  Pretty freakin' good?

Crown Point comes to our house at Portage where it's always loud and rankings don't mean much , what seems to be some of the big matches or upsets ? The Acuna and Fuqua seems to be the Match of the day .

Evidently Acuna didn't wrestle. CP shut out Portage 64-0.
