HS & College Women to Local Clubs

Sent out to all ISWA member clubs.  We want to get our successful HS and College women out there to talk to our younger girl wrestlers about their future in wrestling:

 

 

ISWA Clubs - We Need Your Help!!

 

I want to thank you for providing the best opportunity for young wrestlers by having an ISWA member club in your area.  Having a club is the best way to provide for a great future for your wrestlers and allows for a great outlet for people to be exposed to the great sport of wrestling. 

 

In addition to providing opportunity for wrestlers, you  are providing a great opportunity for our young women wrestlers.  Your clubs are the first line for young women to try out the sport of wrestling.  We all know it is a challenge at times to incorporate  women into your wrestling program.  Many of you have had women in your programs from the beginning and a few have groups of young women. 

 

We would like to provide you assistance with your young women and show them the future they can have if they continue with the sport throughout Middle School, High School and into College.  Women wrestling in High School has continued to grow at a 10% rate per year for the past several years.  This does not include numbers from states like Indiana that do not keep track of the number of women wrestling in High School. 

 

This past year we have had several women place at Women?s National Tournaments from Grade School age to High School.  Our Indiana women are even making breakthroughs in Collegiate Women wrestling.  We had a women win Middle School state and two women as national runner-ups at Junior Freestyle Nationals.  We would like to schedule with your club the opportunity to come and talk to your young women about the many opportunities in Women?s wrestling.  I will have one of our many successful High School or College Women wrestlers come to your club and have a personal discussion and clinic with your women wrestlers.  We?ll

hand out information, schedules, and more to show the young women the many opportunities that they never considered. 

 

Having the information and knowledge that there is a whole world of women?s wrestling out there is very important.  We need to show our women that wrestling with your club with the boys or just a few other girls is just the starting point for them. 

 

We hope you will take this opportunity to give the young women wrestlers in your club the chance to talk with our older women wrestlers and see the future in wrestling that they could not imagine.  Contact me for information and to schedule your club visit.
