Recommended Posts

Congratulations to Caleb Browner ? he just signed a scholarship to Campbellsville College in KY.

Caleb posted a 44-3 record this year with his only losses being to the 3x Ky state champ, the Indiana State champ and the #3 ranked kid in Indiana from Mater Dei.  During Caleb?s career here at Jeffersonville he was a 3x Jeff classic champion, a 2x regional champion, a 3x semi-state qualifier, a HHC Champion, a warrior classic champion, a Greco roman state champion, 2x Capitol City classic champion, a 2x Team Indiana member for the ISWA, he ranks #4 in Career pins, 5th  in single season wins, team captain, led the team this year in pins and takedowns, and was the first ever Robbie Rhinehart Scholarship Recipient.  Besides wrestling, Caleb was also named the All-Area Linebacker of the year, and was a member of the 2008 Red Devil football sectional championship team.  In wrestling Caleb led the Red Devils to 3 sectional championships, 2 conference championships, 2 warrior classic championships, and a #13 ranking in the state as a team.  Caleb and the Red Devil wrestling team actually attended the Tiger wrestling team camp last summer and went 7-0 in duals winning the camp championship, and Caleb was named to the Camp all-star team.  Caleb makes the 13th Red Devil wrestler in the past 7 years to go try his skills at the collegiate level. Caleb received many calls during his senior year here, but made his final decision between two NAIA schools ? Lindsey Wilson college and of course Campbellsville.

Caleb will be wrestling for Frankly James at Campbellsville.  James was a 1998 NCAA All-American.  Coach James has led the tigers to 4 straight top twenty finishes in the nation, and coached 2 national champions in the last 5 years there.  The Tigers were an NAIA/NWCA all-academic team in 2009-2010 as well as winning the MSC Conference.

?Caleb was the hardest working wrestler I had the pleasure to coach so far.  Caleb has all the potential to be a national champion in college and we believe [/img] that Coach Frankly James and his staff will put him in the best position to do this.  Coach James is a good man, and that is important for us to send our kids off to college with good people that will get them educations, says coach struck.?  ?Caleb?s leadership, enthusiasm, and never ending work ethic will be missed.  He left the team as one of the greatest role models we will have here of all time.  We all love him here, and can?t wait to follow his success.?
