Blmont17
I know that this is new information, but can anyone inform me on the new illegal move "rear-standing double knee kickback"?
cadet130
Suppose you hit a standup and we are in the front to back position. Then I basically jump on your back and use both of my feet to kick out your knees from behind you. That is the situation they are referring to. naco228
I dont understand why it would be. Your knees bend that way, anyways.

ENoblewrestling
We had a kid running this in practice all the time. I got on his case and told him to stop just because I figured it had to be illegal, or that it was going to hurt one of his teamates, its a really rough move. I thnk its a good thing its illegal. Dave Cloud
Though the situation was fairly rare in high school, NCAA laison Bob Bubb pointed out to the committee that it was illegal in the NCAA due to the high probability of injury. Since the defensive wrestler's feet could be planted and then have his body bent back over he could suffer a serious knee injury. The NCAA and the NFHS work to keep their rules as similar as possible and so it was added as an illegal manuever. Dave
