A quick, uncontroversial seeding of the Top 8 in this tournament with no seeding meeting is not impossible.  Use the following criteria in priority order:

1. State finals place previous season

2. State qualifier previous season

3. State finals place any time in career

4. State qualifier any time in career

5. Connersville tournament place previous season

6. Semi-state qualifier previous season

7. Connersville tournament place any time in career

8. Current season winning percentage

No head-to-head discussion.  No strength of schedule discussion.  Just a quick, easy way to distribute 8 quality wrestlers to avoid some of the unnecessary early round matchups we always see.  It's not perfect, but it would definitely separate the top kids early in the tournament.

Whats with the class BS stuff?

Don't know if they still do but eons ago when I was coaching, they divided the teams into three divisions based on enrollment.  They would give an trophy to the overall champion.  In addition, they would also give trophies to the two highest placing teams in the two divisions the overall champion did not come from.  One year we finished fourth overall but received a trophy because we were the highest placing team in our division.  Something unique Connersville did then that was kinda neat.

But, no, I'm not in favor of different classes for the state tournament.

I do not believe there will be live updates done by the school.  However, after the first day I'm sure someone will post atleast some updates.  Otherwise you'll have to wait for the complete results.

As Theckman has said, the teams are split the teams into three class...not sure the exact size but i believe 0-800 is class A, 801-1500 is Class AA and 1501+ is Class AAA. Each Class will have a champ and then of course there is the overall champ...I am in noway in favor of class wrestling.

If you need help with bracket posting I can help.  The main thing is getting results as if people are lucky there will be full results within a week of the conclusion of this tournament.  For some odd reason, the people at Connersville like to keep everything involved with this tournament top secret.

This tournament is a blind draw. We see the brackets the morning we show up. Lots of scratches at the coaches meeting and VERY rarely is the weight class re-drawn. You can have forfeits in that push you to day 2 with 1 win.

A few years ago at 215 Panko of Avon and Wolf of East Central met in the opening round! Happens every year.

I wrote this on the last page...any reason Connersville doesn't do something simple like this?

you have to win every match to be the champ so what does it matter. besides If you finish 3rd you get more matches than if you finish second... the year panko finish 3rd he lost the first round to Wolfe and won 7 straight matches making him 7-1 if he would have finish second he would have been 4-1. the only different between first and third is the face-off and where you stand on the podium in fact 3rd place can help the team just as much as 2nd if the wrestler wins most of there matches by pin. that's just my opinion though. I do wish it was seeded cause sometime you can get boring finals match ups. if anything they should just split up the state placers and state qualifers.

No.  Panko lost in the first round of state that year ('03-'04) and finished with 3 losses.  He went undefeated the next year to win state.  Wolfe got second at state, losing only the state championship match to Chris Kasten.
