boilerelitedad
I had a question asked of me recently and thought it might be fun to get some feedback on it : With so many kids at folkstyle state why not cut the age break to 1 year ?example an 8 year old would only wrestle other 8 year olds at his weight. wwatson
I think the two year format would be better if each wreslter would have to wrestle the age they are during that match. For example, 5&6, 7&8 and so on....Right now it is set-up that my 5 year old who will be 6 in November will be wrestling some 8 year old Bantams. My youngest will be a first year Novice in 09-10 and missed the cut off by 4 weeks(Dec. B-Day)he's in fourth grade and will wrestle some 6th graders this coming year. It is a bit tougher on them early on, but it will really pay off later when they move up to Middle School and High School. By the way Boilerelitedad, those are some awsome stairs! Where are they? We want to come run them.
boilerelitedad
MCKAJC, The stairs are at Purdue on the north side of the stadium, my son works out at Purdue and gets to run them in the summer. He however doesn't see this as a privilege ;D... but I guess when I was 10 I would have felt the same way.
Signal34
The age groups are ok, but what i would like to see changed is the parents or athlete have the option to move up an age group.
