SnatchSingle
I saw Yorktown dominate a decent Winchester team on Tuesday night. It didn't look like Winchester had any competetion for Y-Town. Even some of WC's best wrestlers couldn't compete with some of the weaker Y-Town kids. Is there anyone in the TEC or surrounding area that could even give Yorktown a good match? I would like to see Yorktown vs Union County, or Yorktown vs New Castle, or Yorktown vs. Jay County...I think those could be good ones
TheRightWay
I've seen them wrestle a few times, including an 84-0 win. They are impressive. They are solid everywhere. Everyone knows of their ranked wrestlers, but watch out for 171 Castner. Not sure how many he has lost, but it is not many, if any. They always seem to lose to Bellmont in team regionals. Will be another tough match this year. Tonight is the County Tournament. They could win 12 of the 14 weight classes.
WeeMom
I'll be interested to see em wrestle at the Hoosier Heritage Conference tourney next weekend. Other schools that will be there will be New Palestine, Mt. Vernon Fortville, and Pendleton Heights. There will be some weight classes that will be worth the price of a State finals ticket. Yorktown is definitely one of the teams that anyone would be proud to beat! Their talent runs deep.
AJ
I would like to see Yorktown vs Union County, or Yorktown vs New Castle, or Yorktown vs. Jay County...I think those could be good ones Yorktown would beat all those schools by atleast 12 points. rebelsfan
Yorktown was very impressive at New Castle 12/13 .They have a very solid lineup very good at upper weight classes.
justadadnow
Yorktown vs New Castle 103 and 112 NC 119 depends on YTowns lineup choice Y if Bevins is there, NC if he goes 125 130-285 Yorktown Think this is the year they get past Bellmont
Teethnnail
Trent Castner should wrestle 160 the rest of the way....he is 20-0 so far this year. I believe he went to semi-state at 189 last year.
AJ
Castner wrestled at 171 at County tonight. He looked really good. He would be a HUGE 160 lber!
AJ
Yorktown vs New Castle 103 and 112 NC 119 depends on YTowns lineup choice Y if Bevins is there, NC if he goes 125 130-285 Yorktown Think this is the year they get past Bellmont NC would get the win at 103. 112 Mullins v. Jackson would be a great match. Edge to Mullins right now however.
PurduePete
They seem real tough in the lower weights from 112-125 especially. You got Jackson, Bevans and Hiestand 3 in a row.
Teethnnail
Then Y-Town has Dulaney, Mosier, and Castner @145-152-160....I believe Dulaney has the only loss among the three.

Teethnnail
Adam did not wrestle Tuesday night. He was held out of the lineup for non-injury reasons.
tecpatriot
Didn't think he would lose, but he wasn't listed in the Richmond Palladium Item paper as a winner. Is this long term or a one match deal?
SnatchSingle
Looks like Yorktown had a tough match against HOLT. Is holt ranked in their state? SnatchSingle
Yes, what will the match-ups be? I think Y-Town has a great shot this year at winning this match.
Boot
Yorktown Bellmont could go either way be a few points, depends on who wrestles like they want it. Holt is defending D1 State Champs in Michigan. Bellmont will be an excellent one to watch, team regional will be a packed house.
Y2CJ41
This is how I think the Bellmont vs. Yorktown matchup will go down. Bellmont vs. Yorktown Bellmont Yorktown Notes 103 Blake Adams (Bellmont) vs. Brock Bevans (Yorktown) 0 - 3 Bevans could get the pin in this match 112 Dewey Mechler (Bellmont) vs. Devon Jackson (Yorktown) 0 - 6 Jackson is a STUD, Dewey will need to not give up the pin 119 Brooks Faurote (Bellmont) vs. Derek Bevans (Yorktown) 0 - 3 The young Faurote will battle with Bevans and keep it to a decision 125 Will Sheets (Bellmont) vs. Andrew Heistand (Yorktown) 3 - 0 This one would be a great match 130 Carlin Hormann (Bellmont) vs. Jake Anderson (Yorktown) 3 - 0 Another good match, but the slight edge goes to Bellmont 135 Will Busse (Bellmont) vs. Josh Dent (Yorktown) 3 - 0 Don't count out Dent in this match 140 Ryley Hankenson (Bellmont) vs. Cody Harper (Yorktown) 3 - 0 Hankenson has the edge, but it will be close 145 Tyler Baker (Bellmont) vs. Jordan Dulaney (Yorktown) 0 - 3 This is a match-up we'll see a few times this year if Baker drops 152 John Mahlan (Bellmont) vs. Kyle Mosier (Yorktown) 0 - 6 Mosier is a machine, if Mahlan can stay off his back it would be huge 160 Trent Busse (Bellmont) vs. Trent Castner (Yorktown) 0 - 3 This could be a good one too, but Castner has been solid all year long 171 Grant Mechler (Bellmont) vs. Burke (Yorktown) 3 - 0 Mechler with a close decision 189 Travis Thatcher (Bellmont) vs. Grant Brown (Yorktown) 4 - 0 This could be a pin for Bellmont 215 Billy Baker (Bellmont) vs. Mick Hart (Yorktown) 6 - 0 This is a big mismatch 285 Daniel Meyer (Bellmont) vs. Ross Janey (Yorktown) 0 - 3 Don't count out the little guy Meyer, but Janey could get a pin also 25 - 27 Yorktown
AJ
Anderson or Dent or Rench be at 130 if Bevans and Hiestand bump down.
AJ
This dual will be split pretty evenly, but I think Yorktown has the better chance at getting more bonus points thus giving them the edge in the match up.
SnatchSingle
I see...good predictions. I see Yorktown winning this meet as well. 31-26. GOOD one...but a lot of punishment and great wrestling!!
