AJ
Come on Dec...I thought I had somebody in the system to get my team on the board. ;D Apparently you did not pay him enough! Remember, he has a wife to support now!

TripleB
I live about two blocks from the mighty Ohio! My point being that instead of giving Castle credit for beating a top ranked team, Yorktown was hurt for losing to a lower ranked team. It's all in how you look at it. A team has only one loss to #2 or #3 ranked team, and beats #6, and they only move up one spot and don't break the top ten. My cynical side says that if the roles were reversed and Castle was highly ranked and lost to a team from up north in a tourney, that team would get a huge bump in the rankings. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to anybody, just stating my opinion. Plus the IndianaMat God has me kinda on the irked today, so i've been froggy! Maximus Decimus Meridius
What caused Mater Dei to go from 2 to 3? I'm a litte grouchy today so do us all a favor and minimize the smart retorts, it's an honest question, since PM & MD have not wrestled.
tyandky
We would all love to see that one.Perry wrestles Mishawaka,Bellmont and Catherdal all in about one week.

I'm a litte grouchy today so do us all a favor and minimize the smart retorts, it's an honest question, since PM & MD have not wrestled. I think the way he described it in an earlier post was that more weight is given to the team that has more wins against top 20 teams. I could be wrong, but that's the way I understood it. Until I read through the posts I was wondering the same thing.

decbell1
I previously stated that I felt I had to move Perry Meridian to #2 because I went head to head with Mishawaka, and had them splitting 7-7.
Y2CJ41
Decbell has done a wonderful job with the rankings. They are never easy and he works hard to make them as accurate as possible. Everyone is not going to be happy about them, but the main thing is he looks at the results and knows what is going on across the state. The top three of Mater Dei, Mishawaka and Perry Meridian can be interchanged on any given day. Throw in Crown Point and Cathedral and it gets even more complicated. If there are missing or incorrect results, notify him and those results will be added to the ones he already has.

littlevito
I previously stated that I felt I had to move Perry Meridian to #2 because I went head to head with Mishawaka, and had them splitting 7-7. So then this wasn't from results of the match. You made the choice thinking it might be split 7-7. :-X
decbell1
Yes, because I finally got to see Mishawaka in person, and I also went under the current assumption that Joey Smith is out of the lineup and Wisler at 103. I was unable to find out from anyone whether or not they were coming back. With those two guys out of the lineup, I believe Perry Meridian is with Mishawaka point-for-point. Scout101
Whats the point of having a team state tournament if the majority of top ranked teams have had a matchup or are going to have one?
decbell1
The point is to decide which team is the best in the state, it's pretty simple.

Maximus Decimus Meridius
Joe, I appreciate you answering my question. As I said it was an honest question I understand your logic my only comment is that if we are going to make an assumption as someone said, than we should also assume and take into account the difficult schedule that MD takes on every year, especially the Ohio tournament. I've been around wrestling for a long time and I can tell you that tournment is brutal and demanding. Anyway doesn't matter Indiana will decide it in six or so weeks. Again thanks for all your efforts! It gives us old farts something to talk about.
