Wrestlers to Watch
Brendan Campbell will be moving up to the Junior division after placing 8th as a Cadet last year. Already this summer he went 6-2 at the Junior Duals in freestyle.  Campbell finished 3rd during the IHSAA season.
Brandon Nelsen(notice the correct spelling Coach Weimer) is making a return trip to Fargo where he placed 4th two years ago. This season Nelsen won a state championship and is looking to close out his prep career wrestling on the stage in the Fargodome.
The pride of Wolcottville, Travis Barroquillo, will be making his second trip to Fargo. He is a two time state qualifier, placing 7th this season. He also finished 5th at USAW Folkstyle Nationals this spring.
Jason Tsirtsis’ resume keeps getting longer and longer each week. Already a two-time state champion, he also has two FILA Cadet freestyle titles. The one title that has so far eluded him though, is a prestigious Fargo title. In 2008 he placed 4th and last season he lost in the finals. He placed 4th at FILA Juniors this spring beating a couple current college wrestlers along the way.
Kirk Johson, Cameryn Brady and Conner Mullins will all look to make an impact on the national scene after having great IHSAA seasons.
Sean Mappes placed 7th last year in Greco-Roman and will look to duplicate that feat this year. Mappes had a great showing at the Central Regionals, only losing to Iowa stud Justin Koethe. Mappes also was one match from placing in both styles at FILA Cadet Nationals.
Caleb Smith will be taking his skills to the mat in Greco once again. He was one match from placing last year and is coming off a silver medal in the Pan Am Junior Games just last week.
Another Princeton wrestler, state champion Drake Stein, will be heading to Fargo for the third straight year. Stein placed 8th two years ago in Greco as a Cadet and is coming off a great IHSAA season. Stein went 5-1 at the Junior Duals in Greco-Roman.
Mark Collett is another former Greco All-American looking to come back from Fargo with hardware once again.
Everyone’s favorite curly haired twins, Reece and Conner Lefever, will also be gracing the mats in Fargo. Conner placed 8th during the IHSAA season and placed 7th at USAW Folkstyle Nationals, while Reece was a state qualifier during the IHSAA season and one match from placing at USAW Folkstyle Nationals.
