When will the opposing rosters be finalized?

I  don’t believe they announce it until after their state tournament.   Which is a couple weeks out still. 

I still like the team, but man does it suck not having Baumann, Buchanan, or Sollars. I think we knew ahead that Seltzer and more likely Mendez would be on team USA, but we’re really out most of our nationally ranked guys.

The beach claimed multiple wrestlers from this team. Didn't have this problem 6 years ago with only one kid turning down the offer and that was to wrestle at FloNationals.

That’s unfortunate, but understandable. Last spring for most of those guys, cause hopefully they spend the next few March’s wrestling. 

I understand why they would be on team USA, but didn't Brayton and Mason wrestle on team Indiana when it was their turn?

I don’t know if they wrestled at Pittsburgh, but I think you’re thinking of the Dream Team classic which is different. 

So the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic is really NE of Philly? Anyone know if this is normal or something new on location? Just curious...

oops....  that makes more sense.  I didn't look close enough after searching the address, clicked on first result which was southhampton for some reason.  lol

Brayton and Mason did not wrestle at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic. They were at the Dream Team in which it was Team Indiana vs. a USA All-Star team held at Brownsburg. That was a REALLY cool event and still one of my favorite days of wrestling ever.

Indiana has a sparkling record in the main event at Pittsburgh.

*Hughes won the Turning Point award for winning the match that sealed the dual for Team USA

2014 126 - Stevan Micic Hanover Central, Indiana MD Zeke Moisey, Bethlehem Catholic 13-4

*Micic was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler for Team USA

2012 113- Jarred Brooks Warsaw, Indiana DEC Billy Rappo, Council Rock South 8-5

2021 145- Jason Tsirtsis Crown Point, Indiana MD Zach Beitz, Juniata 13-4

2004 140- Alex Tsirtsis Griffith, Indiana DEC Isaiah Britton, Loyalsock 6-4

2004 171- Blake Maurer Mater Dei, Indiana DEC Kurt Brenner, Freedom 8-6

They moved the event from the University of PIttsburgh to the new location. The new gym literally just opened up.  Here is an article with a video of it.

Ben is a stud, had the pleasure of talking with him after he beat Thrine in a wild match at frosh/sophmore state semi finals a couple years ago.. Great competitor and all class regardless of the outcome.. Congrats young man, have fun and give em hell!
