Make them kids battle from 112 thru 160 are almost every 5 to 8 pounds you get to the AKA bigger its from 11 to 18 or even higher.
The weight gap works that way cause for one there's more wrestlers in the short weight gabs and two it's alot easier for most of the bigger kids to cut weight. Most teams do battle it out in 125-171.
I gathered thes number from the 2011 team state teams
Roncalli 103-171: 22 wrestlers on the roster 189-285: 6 wrestlers
PM: 103-171: 22 189-285: 5
Penn: 103-171:23 189-285:5
Bellmont: 103-171:24 189-285:8
EMD: 103-171:23 189-285: 5
CP: 103-171: 22 189-285:6
Delphi: 103-171: 17 189-285: 6
LN: 103-171: 21 189-285: 6
This is a perfect example why the weight classes were the way they were. I undter stand some teams may be loaded down in certain classes but for the most part most wrestlers on a team are in the first 68 pound gap compair to the last 114 pounds. I also understand thes are the top 8 teams so most teams probably have smaller numbers and are probably closer to delphi's numbers. For the record I'm not saying there shouldn't be a 182 pound class I'm saying there shouldn't be 4 weight classes above 171.
