North Central Duals
« on: January 08, 2011, 05:49:11 AM »
This should be a very good 8 team dual.
Westfield and Cathedral have to be the favorites
Hamilton Southeastern, Greenfield, and North Central will push them both if they match up

285 looks like it may be the deepest of the weight classes
Henson North Central = Marion County Champion
Melby  Westfield = Hamilton County Champion
Kenny Cathedral = City Champion
Janney = Hamilton County Runner-up

Dezmen McGinley  from Greenfield-Central also beat Niebarger today 8-6. He went 4-1 with a loss to Willis.

G-C as a team went 3-2 with wins over logansport, north central, and union county and losing to champions and runners up HSE and Cathedral. G-C is now (17-4) on the year.

Some great matches for sure at the NC Duals.  Neibarger from HSE lost two close matches.Cathedral 160 looks pretty good.
Heavyweight class started strong, but the big matches really never happened.  Melby from Westfield was hurt and only wrestled one time due to that injury.  Nothing serious so I don't think it will be an issue in the furture of his season.  HSE Hwt beat Cathedral's Hwt and both seem like they would be tough match-ups for unknowns.  Cathedrals is strong and powerful, HSE's is big and moves pretty well.  None of them seem like they are in the same class as North Central's Hwt.

There was a wrestler injured, I think from Shelbyville.  Does anyone have an update on how he's doing?

The McGinley loss to Willis was by fall in under a minute.

The wrestler that was hurt was Shelbyville's jv heavyweight. He is doing well. He has a pinched nerve in his lower back. Pretty sore but up and walking around. We appreciate all of the well wishes and the concern. Great day of wrestling!!
