  Many notable bantamweights to battle through are part of the show, including TJ Dillashaw, John Dodson, Paul McVeigh and several other lesser known guys who have amassed great records through local shows.  Should be a great season and the featherweights are just as solid.  Plus a interesting story with a pair of brothers from KY both at bantamweight.  The show will go back to it's first episode elimination bouts to determine the final group that will stay in the house.  Though with 3 at bantamweight it looks like Indiana has good odds of getting a representative in the house.  The show starts Sept. 21st on Spike.

Fight to get in house:

Several so called favorites didn't even make the house so that should tell you how deep this years group is.

Jaggers had some good back and forth trades early but got KOed at the first round bell so will not make it into the house.  Tough break considering it may have been one of the top two best fights of the prelims though.  Dana did comment on it being  good fight so that is a small upside.

Though break for the Indiana crew as none of them move on. However, the competing looks solid for the rest of the season.

Season 1 is tough to top with Koscheck, Leben, Sanchez, Florian.  Also the BJ Penn/Jens Pulver season had a lot of good fighters too (Maynard, Lauzon, Diaz, Wiman, Gamburyon, etc.)

These weight classes are just exciting.  The heavyweight season was brutal, almost no action.

Several of the fights last night were as good as most seasons semi-finals.  I'm sure Dana hatted to send a few of those guys home.

UFC was bare bones around TUF 1, these fighters had time to hone their skills and develop.

TUF 5 was the first to feature lightweights, UFC was just starting it's lightweight division back, again, bare bones. So these guys have had time to develop and hone their skills.

That is the reason this season will potentially produce many stars, it's the first to highlight Bantam and Feather weights. Outside of a few big names (Faber, Cruz, Aldo, Florian, etc), there isn't a lot of depth.

Tough break for Jaggers.  It seemed like he could have beaten some guys that got through, but he had to face one of the toughest guys right away.

Jaggers is a beast tough break, Go getm Dustin show them how we do it. I would of likes to see Collins of went he might be another year away but look out this kid will make a name for his self in the MMA world soon.

He should of kept the ankle lock it was set up very nice he felt a tap and let it loose for a brief second he made one mistake and that was to stop trying to break it off, always wait for the ref to step in for the stoppage. Thats what was so great about Gracie, Hughes, ect they made the refs pull them off for the stoppage.

Actually Gracie fell victim to the same problem in the early days of UFC.  He caught Ken Shamrock in a submission the ref missed.  Royce then argued with the ref and Shamrock about it until Ken finally manned up and admitted he had tapped.  But yes Neace may have been better off if he keep syncing it tighter instead of loosening up the hold.
