Peyton Pruett @ 145 was up 14-0 on Franklin kid with this being last match of the day for them and CG down 3 when Pruett puched the kid and was DQ. PURDUEdad Posted December 18, 2017 Share Posted December 18, 2017 The Franklin freshman wrestler was on bottom near the out of bounds on the side of the mat in front of me, with Pruett on top of him leading 14-0. The Franklin wrestler jerked his head back into Pruett’s face. Pruett then hit the Franklin kid in the back of the head with a closed fist. There was no “cross face” . . . There were two refs working the match. They conferred and made their decision (head butt on Franklin kid, flagrant on Pruett) that led to Pruett being disqualified. ripken4148 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No one wants to see it end the way it did but all you can hope for is the Center Grove kid, who is a great wrestler will learn from this and move forward.
