Eric McGill

As a freshman at Munster High school in 2004 he broke through the scene really fast posting a 46-1 record finishing 2nd in the state at 103. The next year 2005 McGill posted a 21-2 record. That year he took 7th at cadet freestyle nationals. As a Junior in 2006 McGill finally got what he wanted, a state title! He posted a 46-1 record that year and found his way to the top of the podium. His senior year 2007 I remember vividly watching the Cosgrove/McGill rivalry unfold. Every one knew who was going to be in the finals every week, and they packed the gyms for it. Cosgrove and McGill went back and forth exchanging wins and losses, But Eric came up with the win that was the most important, the state title match. McGill went on to wrestle for "The Big Red" Cornell University. We are excited to have Eric in the room to show us his world of wrestling! I have linked a great article that Y2 did back in 2008 with Eric. Check it out!!
