maligned
The new IHSAA enrollment data came out a couple days ago. I've been slow to post information because we were waiting to get information about Indianapolis Marshall, who is closing its doors at the end of the year. Final planning for where their students will be disbursed has not been completed so the IHSAA is ignoring students from Marshall entirely in calculating IPS schools' enrollments until two years from now. Because this decision has been made official, we will follow suit. Therefore, we have 303 schools to classify for next year rather than the 304 we thought we had. If you've been following leaderboards, the impact of the new data for IHSWCA Team State Classification is as follows: Jasper and Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger move up to 3A Gary West Side and New Castle move down to 2A (None of this movement impacts 3A or 2A leaderboards in terms of teams in contention for 2017-18 Team State positions) Woodlan, Monrovia, Speedway, and Oak Hill move up to 2A (No impact on 2A leaderboard) Alexandria, Andrean, and Whitko move down to 1A The new 1A leaderboard without Oak Hill and Monrovia looks like this: Rank Score PtsAvail Class 1A Teams 1 233 2 Prairie Heights 2 199 4 Central Noble 3 198 2 North Posey 4 195 4 Shenandoah 5 190 0 Knightstown 6 188 0 Eastern (Greentown) 7 184 4 Frankton 8 181 0 South Adams 9 174 2 Adams Central 10 168 0 Cass 11 167 0 Milan 12 151 0 North Putnam 13 150 0 Triton 14 143 0 Attica 15 139 0 Eastern Hancock 16 137 2 Winamac Analysis: Prairie Heights, North Posey, Shenandoah, Cass remain in the 4 semi-state automatic bid positions. The other six top-10 teams remain in automatic wildcard positions. Unless we receive any additional injury/transfer information, Milan will essentially gain the first vote-in spot automatically because they are the first available candidate and no others are within 15 points of them. North Putnam through Winamac will then be the candidates for the final vote-in position and all others are eliminated.

maligned
Here they are in order...but the data is in a pdf you can access from the IHSAA's article about it: http://www.ihsaa.org/Portals/0/ihsaa/documents/news%20media/2016-17/021317.EnrollmentsRelease.pdf (but for some reason the link isn't active any more at the moment)...sorry I don't have a way to post the exact numbers short of typing them out; I had to type these by hand because they didn't have them in excel format. 3A Teams 1 Carmel 2 Ben Davis 3 North Central 4 Warren Central 5 Penn 6 Pike 7 IU89
Evansville Materr Dei is now a 2A school instead of 1A. Now they are only bumping up 1 class instead of 2, not quite as impressive! backtothemat
