Sarah Hildebrandt just lost a couple minutes ago to a Japanese girl and takes the silver at the ultra-tough Ivan Yarygin tournament in Russia. It is regarded as the toughest senior-level tournament in the world outside of worlds. Many, many world and olympic champs have not medaled at the Yarygin. Our own Alli Ragan, a newly minted world medalist, fell in the first round yesterday. Sarah picked up 3 hard-fought wins before falling in the final. Her progression continues in a very exciting direction.

Sara, I have been a fan since you were in middle school.  I tell young people (and grown adults, HELL anyone that will listent) your story all the time.  You are such a great role model.  Keep breaking barriers.  Keep raising the bar.  We are all behind you!
