Ha...doubled up on the other thread...I'll move over to join you here, Dingo:

Day 1 starts off with a bang.  The NCAA champ Retherford upsets the world bronze medalist James Green 9-2.  Aaron Pico also had to come back from down 9-0 to not get upset by Jayson Ness.  Those 20 straight he scored seemed to get it done.

Hump wins in fairly controlled fashion over trials mainstay Jason Chamberlain.  Kayla Miracle dominates and ends up with the fall late.  Hump and Miracle head to the quarters where Hump will be a slight underdog and Miracle a slight favorite.

Mat 1

HIGH SCHOOLER Teshya Alo of Hawaii out early against McKendree's Megan Black. 10-2 to start the 2nd. Not too many high schoolers out there as slick as Alo. Tech fall winner 12-2.

Mat 2

Greco- Mark Stenberg up 5-0 against the jacked Kevin Radford. Radford had underhooks, loading up for the throw, Stenberg wisely fell to the ground to avoid the big move. Big throw by Stenberg, then a gut by Radford has it at 9-8 Stenberg's lead in the 2nd period....great match...1 minute to go. These are some big men really getting after it. Stenberg wins 9-8

Mat 1

Ryan Hope up on Courtney Meyers. Meyers appears injured. Hope wins by inj. default

Mat 2

Mat 3

Sheridan gets exposed by Zillmer, now trails 5-3. Big move by the former NDak St. All-American Zillmer

Sheridan loses 5-3 to Zillmer. Had that match in control it appeared.

Don't know how you saw the result so fast...must be on delay overseas for me.  He gets body locked for 4 late to take the loss.

Hafizov appears to be too much for Nowry. Leads 5-0. Wins 5-0

Mat 3

Watters up 4-0 over Gonzalez

Mat 4

Couple of step outs has Metcalf up 2-0. Molinaro strikes back with a 2 pointer, has criteria at this point....90 seconds left...2-2

Molinaro with the upset...not shocked personally. 3-3 criteria win

Mango techs Jones

Retherford continues to be shot out of a cannon....leads Stieber 2-0

Hump gets Jimmy Kennedy now. Should be brutal

stepout gives Kennedy a 1-0 lead

another TD for Retherford, leads 4-0. Guy is just unreal. Stieber fights back with a TD and near leglace, 4-2 to start 2nd

Thielke throwing Hodge all around, leads 8-2

Hump comes back with 4, then a pushout by Kennedy makes it 4-3 Hump leads

Stieber with another TD, ties it at 4-4, criteria with Stieber right now.

Thielke wins 8-4 over Hodge

Saddoris being tested by Hooker. 4 point throw by Hooker ties it at 4-4, criteria with Hooker

Slide by and roll by Hump makes it 8-3. Big move by Kennedy appears to injure Hump, nearly pinned him. 10-7 Hump leads but unsure if he can continue

Hooker holds on to upset Saddoris

8-6 Steieber up on Retherford...Zain needs a TD to win by criteria...Stieber holds on to win 8-6

An all too familiar story for Hump....big lead, then starts to let up and fatigue....gets a big TD to take a 12-9 leads. Huge, clutch move by Hump...Kennedy coming for him, Hump slides by and counters, leads 14-9..Hump at his very best right now...Kennedy throws a challenge, not sure what he's challenging, appeared that Reece clearly had another TD to potentially take a 16-9 lead. Hump countering Kennedy's aggression with smooth slidebys...challenge apparently successful, it's 14-10, 11 seconds left...Hump wins 14-11. Huge win for Reece.

Well, now, Matt, you might have the advantage on me after all. That sounds pretty decent.

Pico and Oliver locked in a helluva match. Pico appears to have the momentum...Leads 9-8 with a single leg on the edge of the mat. Pico thought he had a 4 pointer on a lunging TD with possible exposure, but they say it's just 2....11-9 Pico beats Oliver

Flying Squirrel Ellis Coleman leads 4-0 over Marco Lara

Ravaughn Perkins a winner 7-3

Alli Ragan putting it to Becka Leathers, leading 8-0

Ragan wins by tech

Mat 1

Sideshow Bob Jordan Holm up against Mark Stenberg

Mat 4

Miracle gets Randi Beltz....Beltz stuffs Miracle, nearly exposes her back, Miracle bravely fights back, gets the 2 with a double leg dump, leads 2-0. Great start for Kayla

Miracle and Beltz in some seriously long scrambles, Beltz wins the latest, gets the 2, tied up 2-2 heading to 2nd period. Criteria currently with Beltz, but Miracle is very much in this one. Beltz stuffing the head when Miracle shoots, which appears to be frustrating Kayla...Another scramble, no score. Kayla appears to be the aggressor, but Beltz is cagy. Beltz wins another scramble, gets exposure, leads 4-2, Miracle throws the challenge

Holm looks dominant, beats Stenberg by tech

Coleman wins 4-0

Clark techs Zillmer in 1 minute

Miracle wins the challenge, starts to open up on Beltz. Huge win for Miracle 8-3. Beltz really pushed her, especially early.

Hump gets Pico for a shot at the finals. Pico is no easy pickings, but Reece has the experience edge and has looked phenomenal today

Miracle gets Alli Ragan, which is a tall order. However, if she can wrestle the match of her life, she can have a crack at an Olympic berth.

This high schooler, Elo, is slick. She's incredibly savvy on the mat for a high schooler...or for a collegiate for that matter.

Caylor Williams with a loud, beastly yell as he tosses Thomas around for a quick techfall. Incredible.

It looks like Dr. John Wechtler just loss via broken or dislocated arm. He was beating Elor and is apparently an actual doctor in his 'other' life. Bad break for the former MSU wrestler

Elo wins 8-5. The HSer is in the semis. Very impressive.

It's Alo and yes she is talented for her age. She has had quite a youth rivalry with Miracle over the last several years. Alo is also a legit Senior level Jodo threat as well. And her sisters also a stud for her age group in both. PBS did an episode of one of their documentary TV shows on Alo a year or so ago that was pretty good.

Dlagnev techs Medberry in impressive fashion.

Not sure why I started calling her Elo. I got it right in my earlier post. Oops.

I don't have any info on Hump vs Pico start time.

Dom Bradley and Tyrell Fortune scoreless in 1st

Brittany Roberts techs Mollinari

SEMIFINAL action!!

Ryan Magno vs. Hafizov

Consis up as well

Gwiz and Grant up on Mat 4

Mango with 1st TD against Hafizov....is there an upset brewing? Will we have another Mango in the Olympics?

Bradley up 2-0 on Fortune. These are some big dudes.

Hafizov was a 2012 Olympian...for Uzbekistan. Mango really showing some chops here, leads 2-0 still. Hafizov gets a TD right before the period ends...Mango challenges

Bradley with a counter to Fortune's shot, slides around, leads 4-0

Gwiz up 3-1 on Grant

Mat 3

Dom Bradley beats Fortune 6-2

Mat 2

Mango loses challenge, trails 3-2. Hafizov opening up now with some lifts. AND A HUGE TOSS. 8-2 all of a sudden. Hafizov showing his bona fides.

Mat 4

Gwiz up 4-1 on Grant. Appears to be frustrating the NYAC wrestler

Mat 2

Wow, Thielke nearly pinned many-X World and Olympic team member Spenser Mango. Leads 6-0 to start 2nd period.

Mat 3

Rey and Nelso locked in a dog fight. Nelson was trying to counter Rey and was creeping around the corner, stalemated. 2-1 still, Nelson pushing the action, Rey underhooks to stop his momentum.

Mat 4

James Green up 4-1 on BJ Futrell in 2nd period

Mat 3

Rey gets vengeance from their NCAA finals match a few years ago, beats Nelson 2-2 by criteria. Rey into the semis, but Nelson definitely made him work for it.

Mat 4

Futrell ties it up

Mat 2

Thielke wins by tech, celebrates exhuberently...challenge by Mango...Thielke your winner in a huge performance. Mango leaves his shoes in the center of the mat. The entire facility gave him a standing ovation. Gave me goosebumps. What a career for Mango.

BJ Futrell beats Green 8-4. 0-2 BBQ for 2015 World medalist Green. The new weight is not his friend, apparently

Molinaro and Stieber locked in a fierce battle.1-1 to start 2nd.

Mat 3

Stieber with a TD, leads 3-1. His quickness is unreal at times. Molinaro won't roll over for anyone, though. This one is far from over. 3-1, just under 2 minutes left. They tie up, Steiber working the head. Molianro gets a double and a BIG LIFT, leads 5-3. TD for Stieber on the edge of the mat.5-5, Molinaro has criteria...8 seconds, not enough time..Molinaro in the finals!!! winner by criteria 5-5

I wonder how many people thought Molinaro would advance to the finals...won both matches by criteria. Beat Metcalf and Steiber in doing so.

Hump and Pico up now on mat 3!!!

Mat 2

double leg for Pico on edge of the mat. Leads 2-0 over Hump

Mat 3

Very physical wrestling leads to a couple of pushouts for Pico. 4-0. Hump needs a big move

Mat 3

Hump deflects a shot by Pico, gets a pushout point, 4-1 now. Another TD on edge of the mat...6-1. Hump looks a step slow. 6-1 to start 2nd period.

Mat 3

Pico has another TD on edge of the mat. There's a pattern here. Pico works the action to the edges, then either gets the pushout or the TD. Hump nearly had a TD, Pico reversed position, wins 12-1. The 19 year old will wrestle in the finals. Hump looks a little dinged up.

No time to rest. Miracle up on mat 3 as well

Mat 3

Let's do this, Kayla. Tough task for the former CMA wrestler

Mat 3

Ragan gets a leg, Miracle hops on one leg, finally ending in a single leg TD spilling out of bounds. 2-0 Ragan leads. Miracle must find her offense

Ravaughn Perkins beats the Flying Squirrel, Ellis Coleman, 3-2 to head to the finals at 66kg

Mat 3

Miracle with a TD of her own on the edge...2-2 heading into the 2nd period. Holding her own with Ragan

Miracle counters a Ragan double, leads 4-2...wow...another lunging shot by Ragan, wizzer by Miracle. Finally taken down by Ragan, 4-4, criteria currently with Ragan. Over a minute left for Miracle to score

Mat 2

Provisor with 1st TD, crowd liking that

Mat 3

Miracle deep on a shot, stalemated by Ragan. Ragan slides around on a Miracle shot...6-4...not much time left for a Miracle comeback....great job by Kayla, but she falls 6-4. Looked terrific in defeat

All Indiana wrestlers competing today are eliminated from contention for the title.

Just told Kellen Russell inj defaulting out of the consis

Mat 2

Provisor is massively muscled and thick. Holm is taller and more wiry. Thus far, Provisor getting the better of the highly decorated Holm, leads 2-0, 90 seconds left. Provisor wins 2-0, is going nuts on the mat. He is frickin' HUGE

Mat 3

Alo with the first TD against former Olympian Kelsey Campbell, leads 2-0

Mat 3

Alo leads 2-0 to start the 2nd

Mat 2

Holm threw a challenge, but I don't think it will change anything. Provisor with a nice upset. Very clear these two don't like each other much.

Mat 2

Jacob Clark pretty nasty today. Headlocks Anderson and opens up a 9-3 lead. Clark wins by tech over a very tough Anderson, will wrestle in the finals tonight. Slick dude.

Mat 3

Pirozhkova leads 2-0 over Page to start 2nd. Pushout to open up the 2nd, leads 3-0. Page will have to pull something magical out to pull this one out

Mat 4

Kennedy outlasts Futrell

Mat 2

Clodgo and Hendey up now. CLodgo leads 2-0 heading to the 2nd

Mat 3

Dlagnev and Bradley locking up, snapping each other's heads, pushout point for Dlagnev, leads 1-0

Mat 4

Retherford has been great today, beats Chamberlain 7-2

Mat 3

Dlagnev shows off some athleticism, explodes for a low single, leads 3-0. Amazing how much ground he covered so quickly

Mat 2

Clodgo wins comfortably, will head to the finals. Elor and Rau up in 98kg Greco action. Rau the big favorite here

Mat 4

The fall of Metcalf continues, trails Ness 4-2 in the 1st period....ties it up 4-4.

Mat 3

Dlagnev wins 5-1 over Bradley.

Mat 2

Rau with a gut, looking for more. Gets another. Putting on a clinic on the mat. leads 6-0 with the 3 quick turns.

Mat 3

Rey and Gwiz up...grabbing my popcorn

Mat 4

Ness retakes the lead 6-5....GETS METCALF on his BACK...nearly pins him.....8-5 Ness leads, 20 seconds left. Really rough day for Metcalf.

Mat 2
Rau up 6-0 at the break

Mat 3

Gwiz strikes first, with a TD on the edge of the mat. Leads 2-0. Looking very comfortable in the international style.

Mat 3

2-0 at the break.

Mat 2

Rau wins 6-0, will wrestle in the finals

Mat 3

Rey no luck getting through Gwiz' defense. Pushout point is all Rey can muster thus far. 2-1.1 minute left

Mat 4

Ness wins 9-7 over Metcalf. Wonder if Brent will call it a career after today's disappointment.

Mat 3

Another pushout for Rey, but criteria with Gwiz. Helluya comeback for Rey, looked like Gwiz had that one

Mat 2

Caylor Williams techs Hancock. Williams impressed me at Worlds last year, could be a darkhorse medal candidate if he wins this evening.

Mat 2

Mensah wins by tech over Salata, will wrestle tonight for an Olympic team spot.

Mat 2

Brittany Roberts wins 3-1 over Miller after a late pushout and a failed challenge by Miller. Roberts vs. Mensah tonight. All semis are set now
