Sig40
Both teams look very impressive. I am excited to see if they can best the 2013 team's finish. Thank you to all the people that helped put this together so Indiana can have a competitive national team.
CasualObserver
A huge "thank you" and "great job" to all the ISWA folks that worked tirelessly to put this together. I thought yesterday ran very smooth and was well organized. Should be another great trip out to Council Bluffs! Congratulations and good luck to all the wrestlers and coaches next month! JMILL
Yesterday's team qualification tryout was our most successful one yet in all the years I have been involved and that is clearly due to the youth wrestling growth in Indiana. We have put together two teams that are going to be both very competitive and represent Indiana very well in April out in Iowa. We will make a definite push to best the finish put up by the 2013 team for sure !!!. Stay tuned for results to be posted next month. Thanks to Warren and all the volunteers that helped to make the wrestle off's a huge success. Edited March 7, 2016 by JMILL
Trbell
IndianaMat Staff, It was brought to my attention of the mistake on the Gold Team roster. 112 is Devon Bell not Deron Bell.
JMILL
that is a mistake made by the poster, Maybe you don't know who Triple B is but sometimes the keyboards are not "finger friendly" to us bigger guys so an occasional finger slip happens. My own bigger fingers are good in that they occasionally remind me of Bratwurst sausages and I get hungry, but they are bad in that I frequently punch the wrong key and have worn out my "backspace" key correcting....................Rest assured we have it on the official roster and know it is Devon Bell. We are glad to have Devon on the team for sure !!!! Thanks Edited March 9, 2016 by JMILL
TripleB
It was more of a spelling error, than a fat finger error. I probably copied it wrong from the paper, apologies.

JMILL
Well it was an extremely successful trip out to Western Iowa for the two teams representing Indiana and the ISWA. All kids handled themselves with the utmost class and represented the state of IN tremendously well. The Blue team wrestled very well and placed 5th in the Silver bracket (13th overall with 31 teams represented) The Blue team started the day off with pool play as follows: IN Blue vs Kansas (Darth Vader) won 77-6 IN Blue vs North Dakota won 47-39 IN Blue vs Missouri United lost 21-59 IN Blue vs South Dakota won 42-34 -------then going into bracket portion: IN Blue vs Kansas lost 18-59 IN Blue vs Iowa Red won 51-26 IN Blue vs Missouri Greater Heights 46-44 **ending weekend 5-2 IN Gold team finished a record tying highest ever place for the state of Indiana at 3rd !!!! The team wrestled lights out in all duals and missed making it to the championship dual against a tough Pennsylvania team by losing a tight dual. IN Gold vs Missouri Greater Heights won 74-9 IN Gold vs Nebraska White won 77-7 IN Gold vs Kansas C3PO won 77-0 IN Gold vs Utah won 68-9 -------then going into bracket portion: IN Gold vs PA silver won 47-18 IN Gold vs Minnesota Storm lost 32-30 IN Gold vs Missouri United won 47-25 **ending weekend 6-1 Team Indiana Gold Team: 50 - Nate Rioux 6-1 **AA 55 - Revin Dickman 5-2 60 - Parker Reynolds 3-4 65 - Logan Miller 3-4 70 - Logan Frazier 5-2 75 - Cheaney Schoeff 6-1 **AA 80 - Sam Goin 4-3 85 - Jesse Mendez 7-0 **AA 90 - Matthew Koontz 5-2 95 - Zeke Seltzer 7-0 **AA 100 - Aaron Steenbeke 7-0 **AA 105 - Aiden Farmer 4-3 112 - Devon Bell 3-4 120 - Gabe Sollars 6-1 **AA 130 - Nate Lommock 7-0 **AA 140 - Isaiah Street 7-0 **AA 160 - Leighton Jones 6-1 **AA Head Coach Dustin Bentz, Asst. Sig40
Side note PA Gold only beat Minnesota Storm 33-30 and after looking at match ups I have us beating PA Gold 36-35. There was a lot of great young talent on this team whom I am sure will get it done next year. 2 MVP's for gold team: Jesse Mendez(6 pins and a major) Nate Lommock(5 pins, a FF, and a major) MVP for blue team: Seth Willems(4 pins and 3 Dec) indypharmd
Mattyb
Great job boys. Very impressive showing. We are all proud of you. Just goes to show how an united Indiana can wrestle with and beat any state. On a side note. Jesse Mendez is a monster. This kid dominated the competition at Middle school duals as a 6th grader. I was not in Council Bluffs this year. The team leaders and coaches said that he was the most dominate wrestler at the Heartland Duals. This kid better have his shades on...... his future is about as bright as it gets. BTW... this fact is not up for debate so all you message board warriors... step off!!!! Also... Big shout out to the kids from #TheCounty. We sent 9 kids that live here (7 gold team and 2 blue team). Five of these kids got All-American!!! Pretty impressive showing by the youth of #TheCounty. Combined record of 47-16. Edited April 19, 2016 by Mattyb indypharmd, Sig40 and JMILL
