Chris Cooper
I believe they have the 106 bracket wrong. What is on trackwrestling doesn't match the ihsaa formula.

1prouddad
Just curios as to how Egli and Hudkins( both regional winners)ended up on the same side of the bracket when their respective opponents(both 2nd placers ended up on the other side. I myself would have much rather seen Hudkins and Ferguson on one side and then Egli and Gomez on the other side. Just my opinion
BeastMode#31
^ Random draw I believe. There should be 4 Regional champs; two on each side of the bracket. Hudkins and Egli just randomly selected to share one side. Same as State. It would be nice to seed semi-state and state tournaments. Many state championship matches (between the best 2 wrestlers) have happened in the state semi-finals. Once saw it happen in semi-state in the the round to go (Rosbottom vs Jankowski). Just my opinion There are 4 regional winners in the tourney. 2 on one side and 2 on the other. Blind draw is the only fair way to do it.This draw was tough Egli and Hudkins!!! May be the match of the day!!! 120 will be fun to watch! ArmyofOne

All things considered, we should be very, very happy with the 120 draw. It could have very easily been Hudkins/Ferguson and Egli/Gomez in the round to go. Instead, we'll potentially get to see them as the 4 semi-finalists in 4 great semi's and finals matches. This draw only helps ensure that state at 120 will be as insanely deep as everyone's been anticipating. Good luck to the semi-state champ that gets one of these guys Friday night at state! backtothemat
Luigs will make it to State. He has a convincing win over Skaggs, who handled Fox at least twice this year. How about the round 1 match-up between Harris (State #11) v. Ramsey (State #9)? Is there a better round of 16 match than this one at any Semi-State ? Coach Brobst
Just because Luigs beat Skaggs and Skaggs beat Fox, does not mean Luigs is better than Fox. When we're talking about this quality of wrestler, style plays a huge role. For example, This year at a tournament in Zionsville, our 138 pounder wrestled in a pool with the Center Grove and Brownsburg wrestlers. When he faced the Brownsburg wrestler, who was huge and defensive, our guy only got a take-down and an escape to win 3-1, (possibly 5-3, I'll have to check, but it was close). The Center Grove Wrestler, who had much the same style as our 138, quick, low singles and duck-unders, but was much stronger than our 138 beat the Brownsburg wrestler handily (maybe even tech falled him, but at least a major). According to those results, you'd think the CG wrestler would have dominated our guy, but it was quite the opposite. Style means a lot. I have never seen Luigs wrestle, so I don't know how the two will match up, but I do know that past results, unless they are head to head, mean less than nothing. Especially in the ticket round. FurgaSonic
Thoughts on 160 weight class? What do we know about Furgason from Jennings? Could he give Koontz a tough match?
backtothemat
I'll still take Luigs and raise you his quality of schedule, quality of wins, quality of practice room, and the fact that he has avenged 2 of his 3 losses. Besides, it's no fun prognosticating based solely on head-to-head results! ontherise219
