center7024
Team wise I am calling New Albany the heavy favorite with their solid showing last weekend at the HHC conference tournament. Normally the non HHC teams help break things up at this sectional but this year most of those teams are down. Look for Devil-Dawg-Highlanders to rule the podiums. Top wrestler: Noah Franklin New Washington / returning qualifier looking to make the Bankers Life podium Darkhorse: Sean Brown Floyd Central / very good wrestler in the toughest weight class. Could be projected 1-3 along with the other 2 guys above him. Lock: Zach Higdon Charlestown / if Hayes is at 195, I don't see Higdon being beaten barring injury 106 The Dawgs get on the board early with their first champ Aaron Gohl New AlbanyRobbie Stein EasternTrenton Cunningham Floyd CentralEvan Rodgers Providence 113 A battle I am eager to see. I'll take the returning state qualifier over the future state placer in round 1. Noah Franklin New WashingtonTristan Selmer Floyd CentralTanner Smith CharlestownDakota Erickson New Albany 120 Jones should handle this weight class Stephen Jones JeffersonvilleMatt Mosely New WashingtonJonathan Davey New AlbanyWayne Nicholas Floyd Central 126 The Dawgs strike again.... #2 on the day Romerro Bradford New AlbanyBrant Stewart EasternJack Ferraro JeffersonvilleChase Shalosky Floyd Central 132 The deepest weight class in the sectional. hoosierdad
Agree with most of the ppredictions with 2 exceptions: Dowell at 132 is the dark horse, him and Brown have split 2-2, last match Dowell manhandled him 15-8 taking the Hoosier hills title. Heavyweight I have to go with Landrum as the favorite! Dawgs take the sectional title!!!!!!
JCH-220-182
Matt Hayes wrestled 182 at scottsburg duals, but of course doesn't mean anything as far as where he goes for sectional.
jrc
Jake Cavins of Milan won over Matt Hayes of Providence at 195 finals this past weekend at the SIWC Championships. JCH-220-182
randalllynch
Look for several strategic line-up changes to occur to give kids or a team a better chance at winning the sectional. It happens every year and is one of the things that keeps this sectional's rivalries alive and well!
Grenadier2012
Franklin is a good kid, but won't beat Sellmer. He won't headlock his way to State Finals again.
Wrestling4EVER
I dont think he beats sellmer either. But its gonna be a good one.

mustang13
Franklin and sellmer will be a good match as they have wrestled before at club wrestling. And as for the headlock statement I think that was said last year as well;)

RichardMowery
Jake Cavins of Milan won over Matt Hayes of Providence at 195 finals this past weekend at the SIWC Championships. Jake Cavins is a very good wrestler what was the score of the match?
powerhalf
Cavins got the win 4-3 over Hayes. Cavins also had a 5-0 match with a Crawford County kid in the semi-finals that was 3-0 untill a desperation attempt in the closing minute. Did not seem to be his game on that day. Hayes v Higdon should be interesting to say the least.

navy80
Franklin has the advantage being a returning state qaulifier! I'll take him every day of the week. The Selmer kid didn't impress me much at the Mater Dei Classic taking 5th or 6th.
