Mattyb Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Great job Indiana boys! I have had the chance to coach and lead trips for many of these guys over the last handful of years. It is awesome to see the hard work paying off! A few notes: 1. Contenders Wrestling Academy was awarded the team award for bantams. Led by titles by the Rioux bros (A third Rioux bro took 4th at schoolboy). 2. Zack Fattore from RWA went unbeaten at the Middle School National Duals last weekend and followed that up with a National Championship this week!!! Now that's getting it done. 3. A handful of these guys are turning around and wrestling at the USAW Heartland Duals this weekend in Council Bluffs, IA (Jessie Mendez, Tyler Turley, Drake Buchanan, and Oszkar Kasch). These guys are banging with the top dogs in the USA time and time again. Indiana wrestling is on the rise. I have seen more and more of our kids make a commitment to compete against the very best in the USA. Our top wrestlers have always been up there. With this said, with more and more wrestlers competing at an elite level we will continue to develop the depth that we have lacked in the past. The ISWA is here for all of you, and will continue to provide our youth opportunities to help them go as far as they want to go. Awesome weekend of wrestling!!!!
