Carolinablue
There was a debate on the other forum about wrestle-offs. What is your thoughts on not having wrestle-offs and using the results of tournaments. Depending what side of the bracket you get on in the tourney can really have a lot to this
Bronxbomber
When your room is full of only one kid at a weight why wrestle off. Look at the line up, from 149 up it looks like they have one kid. Why waste time with wrestle offs
Carolinablue
Or you don't have wrestle offs when the kids in the room can not handle the structure or schoolwork. Have fun on the East Coast
Bronxbomber
Not sure if you know but DG just wasted your sons red shirt this weekend, why not let him go unattached. Now you know why several studs have left over the years, has nothing to do with grades or anything Else. Coach leaves in season and old style DG wastes redshirts. Kids are there for one reason and DG has no clue. Smaller schools out East and in MAC will capitalize on his mistakes and its should be time for IU to make a change. Drooke
Did springer wrestle unattached?
Y2CJ41
If you go by the team names in TrackWrestling there were no redshirts at the MSU Open. I am 100% certain that the teams there had MANY redshirts wrestling. For instance for Findlay I know that Schuyler Phillips is redshirting and is listed as "Findlay." The same goes for Ben Sergent who is not eligible for the first semester and is listed as "Findlay."

Barrq
Wrestle off's are a good start but a lot of the open tournaments they are seeing common opponents. During the season isn't it about the team? Ya gotta love the NAIA two can try to qualify through the regionals...
