23rd- Purdue Set To Host No. 2 Iowa & Michigan State:

 

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 23rd-ranked Purdue wrestling team continues its rigorous conference schedule this weekend, facing second-ranked Iowa on Friday and hosting Michigan State on Sunday. Friday's contest will be held at Penn High School in Mishawaka, Ind., while Sunday's meet is slated for the Boilermakers' home turf of Holloway Gymnasium.

Seniors Lead No. 23 Wrestling To 21-12 Win Over Indiana

 

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 23rd-ranked Purdue wrestling team made the most of its final home dual of the season, taking down archrival Indiana University 21-12 at Holloway Gymnasium on Friday night. The Boilermakers seniors led the charge as Akif Eren, Colton Salazar Luke Manuel and Logan Brown all scored huge victories as Purdue finishes the dual season 8-8-1 overall and 3-5 in Big Ten action.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue wrestling team added a pair of standout wrestlers to its 2011 recruiting class last week inking University of North Carolina-Greensboro transfer Ivan Lopouchanski and 189-pound California native Preston Quam. The two improve an already outstanding Class of 2011 and push the Boilermakers' recruiting total to eight.....

these guys have some pretty impressive resumes. really excited to see what they do for the boilers, Lopouchanski  has laready proven he can wrestle with the best in the nation, hope he continues to move forward. Quam has great potential with the success hes had with only 2 yrs of wrestling WOW could go a long way for Purdue by the time its all said and done, Great adds to the Purdue line up

DEKALB, Ill. - The Purdue wrestling team held off a hard-nosed Northern Illinois University (NIU) squad on Thursday night for a 19-15 road victory at the NIU Convocation Center in the Huskies' Showcase Meet. The Boilermakers needed overtime to secure two of their six victories on the night, while sophomore Kyle Mosier paced the squad with a major-decision win at 165 pounds...

Nelsen Wins Maryville/Kaufman Brand Title

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Purdue freshman Brandon Nelsen claimed the 141-pound title at the inaugural Maryville/Kaufman Brands Open at Maryville University on Sunday, leading a small group of Boilermakers competing at the event. Nelsen was 4-0 on the day, improving to 11-4 on the season, including three pins....
