Dave Cloud
I am posting this on the behalf of Mr. David Bradford, Athletic Director at the Anderson Preparatory Academy in Anderson, Indiana The APA is seeking a qualified adult (over 21) to serve as head coach for the wrestling program at this Public Charter School, authorized by Ball State University. The school is a military?style academy for girls and boys that focuses on a college preparatory curriculum of liberal arts and sciences. The school is tuition?free and open to any student in the state of Indiana. The cost to attend is the same as any public school. The school has an athletic program which will become an IHSAA member-participant within the next couple of years, including wrestling. This year there were 11 high school age wrestlers (all 9th or 10th grade) and 13 more middle school-aged wrestlers who wanted to wrestle but the school was unable to find a coach. Applicants will need to pass a criminal background check. If interested, contact David Bradford at 765-649-8472.
MattM
Will this school be taking over the old Anderson Highlands building by any chance? If so I'm glad to see Ball State helped step up and get some good use out of the place.
Dave Cloud
Matt, The APA just concluded a deal to purchase a facility from the Boys Club at 2200 West 22nd Street. It is the former Westvale Elementary School building. The Highland building is slated to become a middle school. Dave
