DPH
Cody Phillips 94-0... in total control in every match. Just like the local Sunday headline read 2 down and 2 to go 8) Good Luck next season

swiftyfeet
phillips is absolutely the man. he is so good and explosive. seems like all his takedowns hell get some back points after. best pound for pound at state
diamondintheruff
great job ! ;D after talking with you during the consolation matches i am impressed with you as a person. you are mentally older than your years. im sure you will keep the intense focus and work ethic that you already have. good luck in the future! im impressed
jwkwrestler12
phillips is absolutely the man. he is so good and explosive. seems like all his takedowns hell get some back points after. best pound for pound at state I think your taking that a little too far there. He is extremely good, but to say the best pound for pound in the state? That's taking it a little overboard. 1. Sean McMurray 2. Jason Tsirtsis 3. Brandon Wright 4. Eric Roach 5. Frankie Porras 6. Cody Phillips Now my list isn't perfect, but I could see him at 4 or 5 at the highest. I also could see him lower.
allchamp7
i dont see why he couldnt be top three pound for pound, he dominates everyone just like others! id say mcmurray first bc no one scored on him!! that to me at state is amazing, then i would go with wright and phillips, tsirtsis is up there too but wasnt as impressive as these other three to me. wrestler012345
If cody dosen't jump to many weight classes, or he puts on more muscle, I can see him a 4 time State Champ. He looked dominating the whole weekend. Congrats Cody, and good luck for the rest of you high school!
fmb15291
i truly belive he would've made it into the finals at 112 maybe even won it and im not takin anything away from beck or ayersman at all
swiftyfeet
hey im pretty sure i said AT state not in the state throughout the season. yeah those kids are great i just think that he was. tsirtis went to OT? so obviously not gettin my vote. and he took it to brooks and petrov who have one loss between the two. so yeah def standing behind my word. mcmurray is close but still feel phillips. SWwrestling
Congrats on number 2! This was the second year in a row that Cody was one of my, if not my favorite wrestler to watch down there. Can't wait till next year to watch him battle for his 3rd title. Great wrestler!!
Inthecave
If he wants to prove that he is one of the best in the history of the State , he will have to move up in weight class . Maybe 112 next year and 119 his Senior year . I think he would succeed at either one of those classes .
TCWrestling
I think people are going to be a little surprised at his weight class next year because i am thinking he might be a little bigger than people are expecting....but either way he will be back to win his third title next year....Congrats Cody!!
