Mishawaka with no state champs.....

You heard it hear first.. Mishawaka runs through Team State winning the title easily with 0 state champions!  I think Beck and Lentz are right there and with a good day either of them could win a title, however.

A little data to keep in mind over the last 4 years..

2009: Merrillville- 7 Champs, 9 in the Finals

2008: Merrillville- 6 Champs, 10 in the Finals

2007: Merrillville- 7 Champs, 12 in the Finals

2006: Merrillville- 8 Champs, 12 in the Finals

These numbers have been pretty consistent, so when one makes their state champions predictions this season, its a safe bet to think that these numbers will hold up again...

So, to conclude.. over the last 4 years if we average everything out:

Merrillville- 7 Champs per year, 10.75 in the Finals per year

Evansville- 3 Champs per year, 6.25 in the Finals per year

New Castle- 2.5 Champs per year, 6.5 in the Finals per year

Fort Wayne- 1.5 Champs per year, 4.25 in the Finals per year

However, the trends shows that Evansville is slipping to the worst semi-state and Fort Wayne moving up to the 3rd best semi-state with Merrillville taking home half of the state champions every year and New Castle trending up to a consistent 2nd best every year..
