Is there a set number, or is it 6 duals and 6 tourneys or something like that? I have seen a few varsity kids wrestling at JV meets, I was wondering if they have a cap on the number of matches you can get, and why there is such a gap between some schools and others. Dual meets are worth 1 point Super duals and tournaments are worth 2 points Four of those points must be used in dual meets, the other 14 can be used however the coach/AD wishes. Also included in those points is the conference tournament if a team is in a conference. No set number of matches, you can have only 18 (or less) if you'd like. Or you could have 4 duals and 14 five-match super duals. Slight correction...super duals = 2 pts./each, so it would be 4 duals (4 x 1pt./each) and 7 (7 x 2pts./each) five-match super duals. chambers Posted January 7, 2009 Share Posted January 7, 2009 The rule is that each team or individual may wrestle in 18 duals. Or you can wrestle in up to 7 tournaments which count as two duals each and 4 duals. The 4 duals will get you 4 matches. If you go to 7 tournaments that are all two day tournaments where you wrestle the maximum allowed 5 matches per day you could get (7 x 10 = 70) 70 matches at tournaments. Example: We are currently full on points, however, in a dual we have in a couple weeks the team we are going to would like to make it a 3-way dual.
